Introducing the revamped Prep Redzone Pennsylvania 2023 rankings. In this piece, we will breakdown the top ten players at each position with this piece specifically highlighting the top ten designated athletes. Plenty of new names and plenty of stock risers in this list alone.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="27735" first="Rodney" last="Gallagher"] | 6’0, 160 | Laurel Highlands</strong></span></em></span>
The recent West Virginia University commit has stayed at the top of our ATH rankings since the 2023 class has been added to the site. Gallagher is the epitome of "ATH" on the football field. He can break open a game at WR, QB or DB. What’s been said about this incredible young man has already been said before. We expect nothing less than dominance this upcoming Fall on the field and the court next year.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140944" first="Evan" last="Spivey"] | 6’2, 190 | Germantown Academy</strong></span></em></span>
Many questioned our placement on Spivey throughout his early years on the site. For some time, Spivey was the one prospect on the list whose stock wasn’t supported by college coaches at the time. Since our last update, Spivey has received numerous offers out of programs like Delaware, Temple, Coastal Carolina, Buffalo, Akron and Bowling Green, to name a few. His stock is through the roof, happy to see our thoughts of Spivey begin to be reciprocated.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="146545" first="Kyle" last="Williams"] | 6’0, 185 | Harrisburg</strong></span></em></span>
If we labelled Williams a RB or WR, this ranking would still be justified. He is easily a top 10 running back or wide receiver in this class and that’s saying something considering how loaded this 2023 group is. That’s without mentioning his prowess on the defensive side of the football. His production last Fall was impressive, I wouldn’t be surprised if the young man somehow surpasses the numbers he put up below.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248822" first="Davoun" last="Fuse"] | 6’5, 190 | Washington </strong></span></em></span>
Rutgers commit [player_tooltip player_id="248822" first="Davoun" last="Fuse"] fits this "ATH" mold to a tee. The incredible Washington weapon can single-handedly beat teams with elite playmaking at QB, elite return ability at PR or KR, or even rushing the passer from his OLB spot. The cliche fits, there is quite possibly nothing this 6’5 freak cannot do on the football field. Glad we could get this young man into the top-30 of his class. His ranking might still be too low. One of the more exciting prospects to watch develop in the Big Ten.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="160487" first="Braeden" last="Wisloski"] | 5’10, 185 | Southern Columbia</strong></span></em></span>
2021 State Champion [player_tooltip player_id="160487" first="Braeden" last="Wisloski"] also cracks the top 50 in a loaded class filled with 700 prospects. His junior campaign was nothing short of incredible. Numerous highlights that you just don’t see out of someone who carries his unassuming build. Incredible speed to burn DBs in the passing game, while putting up just under 1000 yards on the ground. Elite defensive back play solidifies his 3-star status. Wisloski currently holds 10+ offers, we expect that number to reach into the 20’s by the end of his senior campaign.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248242" first="Wakeem" last="Page"] | 5’10, 170 | Cathedral Prep</strong></span></em></span>
[player_tooltip player_id="248242" first="Wakeem" last="Page"] just barely missed the top 50, nonetheless, the Cathedral Prep star will look to improve on his incredible multi-faceted junior campaign. Here are Page’s stats from last Fall. If this isn’t a pure athlete, I am not sure what is.
<ul>
<li>21 receptions, 456 yards, 11 TDs</li>
<li>2 att, 75 yards</li>
<li>50 total tackles, 2 FRs for TDs. 4 PBUs</li>
<li>440 KR yards, 2 TDs</li>
</ul>
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="66054" first="Aidan" last="Besselman"] | 6’2, 185 | Upper St. Clair</strong></span></em></span>
A prospect that local FCS schools are clamoring for. The clamoring is warranted, as Besselman’s tape seemingly goes back and forth between elite play at wide receiver to elite play at defensive back. There is real speed, real acceleration and real separation ability when watching his reps on offense. Wideout is definitely prefer the USC product. That is until he flashes great range and ball skills at safety. We’ll leave this tough decision up to which ever D1 program he decides to commit to.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91729" first="Andrew" last="Osmun"] | 6’1, 205 | Spring Grove</strong></span></em></span>
Huge leap for the junior out of Spring Grove. St. Francis and Valparaiso University are big on this kid, as they should be. Deciding where this kid fits best is a problem I’m glad I don’t have to solve. Throughout his career at SG, Osmun has produced quality reps at wide receiver, defensive back, and even quarterback. What should be noted is his impressive 4.0 GPA that academic schools covet. Despite his stock rising, I don’t think his stock has reached it’s peak yet.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140966" first="Jamir" last="Robertson"] | 5’10, 180 | Roman Catholic</strong></span></em></span>
Despite us adding over 200+ prospects, Roman Catholic’s [player_tooltip player_id="140966" first="Jamir" last="Robertson"] climbs the board to crack the top 100, as well as crack the top 10 at his position. Undoubtedly one of the more electric playmakers on this list. There isn’t a spot on offense, outside of offensive line, that this kid can’t produce at. He has the vision to excel in the backfield, he has the separation ability to excel at SWR, he’s elusive enough to be a threat at QB as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if this kid could play anywhere in the secondary either. Hell of a talent Roman Catholic has with Robertson.

<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="140945" first="Kylon" last="Wilson"] | 5’9, 170 | Farrell </strong></span></em></span>
Tough to say something that hasn’t been said about Wilson. A 50+ spot leap, when adding 200+ names is impressive. We pound the table for this young man in hopes he gets every opportunity that is deserved. This offseason has been a productive one for the Farrell speedster, one that has led to more coaches knowing what he is capable of. Now it’s a matter of keeping the foot on the pedal. We are happy to see him earn a PSU camp invite after our camp. Sky is the limit for Wilson.
