Scroll down below and let’s get it started!
(24’) Declan Flaherty, Howell
6’4 230
Mr. Flaherty is difficult to cover due to his big frame and catching ability. He runs precise routes and is sharp in and out of cuts. He is a reliable red zone target especially in the back of the zone using his big frame to shield defenders. He shows good strength after the catch easily breaking tackles on his way to the end zone. Flaherty has long arms and will win majority of the jump balls thrown his way. In 2021, he finished the year with 46 receptions for 534 yards and 6 TDs. Flaherty will be the focal point of offense this season Expect for Flaherty to gain some attention from scouts this season.
(23’) Sal Altomonte, Somerville
6’4 220
Mr. Altomonte is a solid athlete that can catch and block. He has good size to take on bigger offensive linemen and is nimble and smooth in space. Altomonte does a good job catching in traffic and has good body control to catch difficult passes. Despite being hit, he will do anything he possibly can to come down with the ball. He finished his junior year with 3 TDs for 432 yards and 33 catches. Altomonte will be transferring to Milford Academy this season and will be great addition to their offense.
(23’) Chris Clax, Haddonfield
6’2 205
Mr. Clax will surprise many people this season. Coming off a slow year you should expect Clax to make an immediate impact. He has sneaky footspeed and will be the main target down on the goal line. Clax showed flashes of playmaking ability being a good blocker and providing plays that do not show on the stat sheet. He is a vocal leader and is a player with a lot of potential. Clax has good size and tremendous upside. It will be exciting to see how his senior year plays out.
(23’) Christian Collot, St. Augustine Prep
6’2 215
Mr. Collot was a big part of their successful season. He is tough and does a good job blocking on the perimeter. Collot plays with maximum effort and has a nasty attitude that coaches love at the collegiate level. Collot has a quick first step and has the speed to create separation. Also, has strong hands when used a safety valve. In this offense, Collot was used as a block first tight end and were able to produce a 1,000 yard back. This season, St. Augustine will open their playbook through the air and Collot will be a key factor in the passing game.
