TN Future Stars Chattanooga Tryout: RB/LB Standouts
Tennessee Future Stars wrapped up their final tryout on Sunday at Boyd Buchanan School in Chattanooga, TN. Lots of talent came out to compete at a high level for a spot on the roster in hopes to beat out the Kentucky Future Stars this June. Below are the running back and linebacker standouts that came out to showcase their talent.
Nathan Shropshire | Running Back | 2026
Shropshire had great awareness when the ball was placed in his hands. He was able to find holes and make quick adjustments that propelled him downfield. When going through each drill he was focused and determined to work hard. He had great strength when driving forward and gaining yardage to get downfield.
Jaylen Grevel | Running Back | 2027
Grevel demonstrated an athletic ability that was highly competitive. His initial quickness and explosiveness off the ball were next level. He was able to get low and pull away from defenders when driving off the line of scrimmage. He had exceptional upper and lower body strength which allowed him to stand apart when being evaluated among other running backs in his group.
His ability to protect the football did not go unnoticed. Not only could he run the ball from the line of scrimmage but he could also catch the ball downfield creating a name for himself as a dynamic player. His versatility allowed him to stand out amongst his position group. Who wouldn’t want a running back that could also make plays downfield?
Roy Venenda-Walker | RB/LB | 2026
Once again this stud was at the top of my list as a standout. His tenacity and drive carried through in every movement and drill. His hustle outshone every player in his position group. He wants a spot on the roster and that definitely shows. His vision was beyond his years knowing exactly where he wanted to run while tricking his defenders.
