The prospects on this list you will find are some of the top prospects in the state at the WR position, hidden gems from Sauk County, and a lot more that are just scratching the surface of their high school football potential.
With all those factors in mind, I will dive into my six standouts on paper that made some noise from the wide receiver position on Saturday morning at the beautiful MOSH Performance Center in Franklin for our Prep Redzone Wisconsin Showcase. Have a look!
Travon Lawyer | Baraboo | 2025
Travon was one of the smallest prospects at the entire showcase, but watching this young man’s burst from the start of his 40-yard dash and from the 1v1s I caught, pointed a solid picture for his future with the Baraboo Thunderbirds. His twitchiness I liked watching in the shuttle drills as well, clocking right under a 4.5. Likely this was Travon’s first showcase, but the upside for this young man’s future looks bright from my eyes, with some growth and development on his frame in the weight room.
Blake Maldonado Blake Maldonado 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR South Milwaukee | 2024 WI | South Milwaukee | 2024
When I got the opportunity to watch Blake in the later testing, it was intriguing to watch how quickly this young man could unlock his hips from side to side which shows he could make a significant role as a slot receiver getting quick separation from the defensive back or linebacker that is covering him. Blake record a 7.0 second L-Drill which is why he popped onto my notepad from Saturday real quickly right after that. I didn’t get to watch Blake in 1v1s, but his improvement in the 40 yard dash and L-Drill on his second rep showed a lot of poise to get better going into camp season. Like how this young man releases from the start of his route, as it paints an honest picture of where his speed starts to sprawl out with that quick unlock I mentioned. Blake’s vision in the return game is fun to watch as he can crawl out of the high traffic areas and burst his hips to the outside. I for sure believe this young man will develop the tools to play on Saturdays over the coming years. High academic prospect too with a 3.8 GPA.
Colton Green Colton Green 6'6" | 195 lbs | WR Brookfield Academy | 2023 State WI | Brookfield Academy | 2023
Colton put his talents on display for me during 1v1s, where he showed much more physicality in his 6’5 frame with his aggressive route-running ability. His ability to adjust on his routes based on the flight angle of the football was an eye-catching appeal in watching this young man on Saturday morning. Colton shows off very long arms that really come out from the outside of the field when he has to make that highly contested catch. He shows some slight rawness in his starting moves, but with some more developed reps on the college camp circuit this summer has upside to grow. High school programs should place an x to where this kid lines up on the field as wherever that is, he can blossom. Colton is a prospect that I believe would be fun to watch in the NSIC.
Boden Frosch Boden Frosch 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Sauk Prairie | 2025 State WI | Sauk Prairie | 2025
Boden came out and showed off some considerable explosion when I got to watch him during the broad jump in which he was a 9’0+ jumper which is solid for his age. Everything I saw on paper on Boden from testing numbers, looks consistent which is something a scout’s eye looks for in evaluating a football prospect. The patience this kid has on his routes from tape also show some upside as on numerous reps he keeps a smooth body angle when the ball is coming his way, which a great to see from one of the younger 2025 prospects. When Boden rolled it into some reps into the secondary, it was his ability to change directions quickly is what strikes a chord for me on the field. His bouncy hips, make this young man an intriguing WR prospect, with plenty of growth and added size coming his way in the near future make him one I will keep an eye on his Wisconsin over the coming years.
Seth Valeri | Hortonville | 2025
Seth was a Wisconsin prospect I have had recent conversations with colleagues and others about, so I was intrigued to watch Wisconsin’s WR1 in 2025 with a front row seat in Franklin. Seth showed a lot of bounce in his hips from what I watched on Saturday morning, as he showed a ton of fluidity in his hips to turn in all directions I could want to watch from a young WR prospect. Anytime you see any prospect jump just under 10 feet in the broad jump, you have to just know their explosion level is going to be high when they are out running routes, like Seth. Again, we preach consistency with the numbers which you could see the consistency showing why Seth is the top 2025 WR prospect in Wisconsin. This young man has a significantly high ceiling going into his sophomore season, and I am excited to hear this young man’s growth over the coming years from my Wisconsin scouts, etc.
Teflon Lee | Baraboo | 2023
I said it on Saturday, and I will repeat myself to the college coaches reading this, this young man needs more attention as a college prospect, especially due to his significant vertical. Teflon’s balance control when he raises his height get up and catch the football really impressed me a lot as he looked like a natural athlete that can go up and get it as he showed his upside by showing me this on multiple reps. Teflon has long arms with his 6’4 frame that can also extend his hands with solidity throwing blocks for his teammates. Showed great explosion in his broad jump that we got to watch from Saturday. Not much tape from his junior season, but this senior sleeper to be should certainly be on more college radars, as I liked his tools to see him as another prospect on this list that should be playing on Saturdays.
