Jack Tanner Jack Tanner 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Marcus | 2024 State TX – Marcus High school – Class of 2024
Jack has had a huge off-season of development so far and has taken his game to a new level. The 6’6 tackle is becoming an intentional technician with his pass sets, strike, and footwork. His hand placement and his punch timing showed vast improvement. In the run game, he did a great job of redistributing the defenders force and using power angles in the ankles, hips, and knees to create movement. He earned an initial Prepredzone ranking as the number 7 overall player and number 5 offensive line recruit in the state of Texas for the class of 2024.
Caleb Hackleman– Pleasant Grove High school – Class of 2024
Caleb is a 6’5 275-pound offensive linemen out of Pleasant Grove, Texas. He has been one of the most consistent guys that I’ve seen in camp so far this summer. He is accountable to the grind and is doing a great job being a self-starter. Most young guys who come in the program and are new to offensive line specific training will do a good job saying all of the right things but then have no follow-up but as a coach, you can tell that Caleb does his extra work at home on his own. It’s imperative for offensive linemen to have their own battle rhythm (aka routine for success) because it allows them to keep developing their pass sets outside of training. He has done a great job being studious and his technique is night and day better than our first meeting. It’s not often you find an offensive tackle who can play center at a high level but he’s done a great job helping his technique development so far.
Andrew Gross – Coppell High school – Class of 2025
Andrew is a 6’4 and 250 pound rising sophomore out of Coppell High school. Andrew is another young but versatile offensive linemen that understands that versatility equals value. Being able to play multiple positions functionally gives you a better chance of getting on the felid sooner.
At camp, he was consistent as always and showed off a smooth kick, and a snappy punch. He doubled down on his progress with having patience in his pass sets and violence in his strikes. I’m excited to see how he continues to develop as his spring ball comes to a close.
Byron Washington Byron Washington 6'8" | 380 lbs | OL Desoto | 2025 State TX – Desoto High school – Class of 2025
Byron is a massive 6’8 335-pound offensive lineman out of Desoto Texas. He has done a great job reshaping his body and cleaning up his technique. He has visually trimmed a bunch of baby weight off of his frame and looks like he’s gained a new dimension of flexibility. Byron has done an amazing job doing what it takes to own his angle and rip out of the stance with intent. Offensive line in general is such an uncommon task to accomplish or do well at because offensive linemen have to go backwards and still be able to block the other team’s most athletic player. At camp, he talked about the bevy of visits he’s been on including Texas Tech and I expect more blue blood programs to jump in the mix as the summer progresses.
