Kentucky recently invited a few more athletes into what they call the #Brotherhood. Here’s a look at the 2026 Tight End and Athletes selected for Team Kentucky eighth grade.
Ethan Kirkwood Ethan Kirkwood 6'3" | 170 lbs | WR Bowling Green | 2026 State KY | Tight End | Bowling Green
Kirkwood is an athlete that definitely needed to be selected for this Kentucky Future Stars team–it was just going to be a question of where. I think Tight End is a good spot for him in this game because he will likely be the biggest target in the passing game for Kentucky. Using his 6-foot, 170-pound frame he should be able to use size to his advantage a little bit. Very easily could have been selected as a Linebacker as well. Good overall athlete right here.
Hayden Horn | Athlete | Mason County
Coaches are excited about what Horn will bring to the table for the Kentucky Future Stars eighth grade team. He’s a very muscular kid with obvious power, but also was clocked at 4.8 in the forty and a 4.6 in the shuttle. Horn was selected as an athlete because he’s the type of kid you can plug and play on both sides of the ball. Offensively he can pick up a tough yard if you need him to as a Fullback or he can come in as a Linebacker in short yardage situations.
Joey Staggs | Athlete | Mason County
Staggs has been, and will continue to be, a regular season teammate of Horn. They’re very similar players in the fact that they can be used in all three phases of the game for the Kentucky Future Stars team. Staggs also runs a sub 5.0 in the forty yard dash and coaches expect him to contribute in a lot of ways. In particular, Staggs looks like he could be a difference maker in Special Teams with his speed and willingness to blow plays up with his physical style.
Cameron Bulle | Athlete | Glasgow
There isn’t much that Bulle hasn’t accomplished during his middle school career and he’ll tie a bow on it with this Future Stars Game this June. From Team Kentucky to Battle of the Regions to being named Running Back of the year twice, Bulle comes in well-decorated. At 6-foot and 170 pounds, he’s a great looking athlete that can play a number of positions, hence the Athlete tag. Long term I think he’s a difference maker at Linebacker, but with 4.8 forty speed and 4.3 shuttle quickness, time will tell.
