Kentucky recently invited a few more athletes into what they call the #Brotherhood. Here’s a look at the 2026 Wide Receivers selected for Team Kentucky eighth grade.
Dylan Peck Dylan Peck 6'4" | 240 lbs | OL Johnson Central | 2026 KY | Campbell Junior High
From what I’ve seen, Peck is just starting to scratch the surface of his ability. He has great size at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds. He carries his weight well for being a prospect at this stage. Bends considerably well given his height. Was a member of the Future Stars last year as a seventh grader. Also shined the past two years in the the Battle of The Regions tournament.
Cody Gibson | Campbell Junior High
A regular season teammate of Peck, Gibson was also selected for the the Kentucky Future Stars. He doesn’t have the size that some of the other hogmollies up front do for the boys from the Blue Grass State, but he can certainly hold his own. Likely will have a step on most the other lineman with his speed, which is a 5.4 in the forty yard dash–not bad for this level.
Colton Johns | LCA
The younger brother of 2022 prospect and Eastern Kentucky University commit, Anthony Johns Anthony Johns 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Lexington Christian Academy | 2022 State KY . Colton stands in the 6-foot, 230-pounds range and right now looks like an ideal interior Offensive Linemen. A two-time All-Region selection, he has pretty good feet right now and has very little issue down blocking or even pulling from the Center position. Clearly athletic enough to play Guard as well.
Jackson Whitten | Bracken County
I love what Whitten brings to the table for the Kentucky Future Stars team from a pass rush prospective. He’s what a lot of modern day Defensive Ends or “Edge” players look like at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds. He’s very long and can turn the corner quickly to get into the backfield to disrupt plays. Looking at his film, can play with his hand in the dirt or standing up. Very high ceiling for him.
Andrew Ferguson | Pikeville
Good looking young prospect at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds. Long limbs and a high motor make him a promising Defensive End. Shows glimpses of very good ability, just need to see more consistency. If he gets his hands inside the Offensive Lineman’s and can control their chest plate, he wins the rep more times than not. Covers a lot of ground fairly easily.
Kenneth “Ty” Plummer | Ashland
The biggest prospect on Ashland this past season, he was one of three 2026 prospects that earned All-Region honors. Participated in the Battle of the Regions this year and did a very good job. He’s a prospect that has substantial room for development and gaining strength, but he’s a 6-footer that adds a sense of maturity to the guys up front.
Deven Leclercq | Southern Pulaski
Athletic interior Offensive and Defensive Lineman at 6-foot-1 and 245 pounds. At this point is a step quicker than a lot of the other linemen he’s up against. At this point I feel he’s a little more advanced on the defensive side of the ball. Quick first step and fires hands aggressively. High motor kid who can make plays behind the line of scrimmage, even on plays going away from him.
Gabriel Blackburn | Johnson Central
Fast, aggressive and strong Defensive End right now at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds. If he gets taller he has a shot to be a very good player down the line. Promising three-sport athlete who also participates in wrestling and baseball. Looks like a wrestler with his muscular, compact build. On the offensive side of the ball, he’s a sturdy interior guy who uses leverage at the Guard position.
Sawyer Hall Sawyer Hall 6'1" | 265 lbs | OL Breathitt County | 2026 State KY | Breathitt County
A big, thick road grader of an Offensive Linemen, Hall returns the Kentucky Future Stars for a second year in a row. At 6-foot-1 and 265 pounds, he’s a very dependable interior Offensive Lineman that can play either of the Guard spots. Was a captain during Battle of the Regions. One of the better run blockers in the state at this point.
Isaac Adkins | Johnson Central
Another Battle of the Regions selection, he has a lot of familiarity with some of the other big guys up front for the Kentucky Future Stars eighth graders. Very similar build to Blackburn (listed above) who is actually a regular season teammate of him at Johnson Central. Athletic build with good size to go with it. Can see him being a proven entity at Guard in the Future Stars Game.
Zac Carter Zac Carter 6'2" | 220 lbs | DL Somerset | 2026 KY | Meece
There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe the upside that Carter has in his football future. I haven’t gotten updated numbers yet, but with his last measurements, he was all of 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds–and that was last year as a seventh grader. He has the ideal build for a future Defensive End or Offensive Tackle, in addition to the ability to play both positions. Already squatting over 400 and benching over 250.
