Continue ReadingPhones have been ringing off the hook at Desert Edge the past couple weeks with numerous prospects landing big time offers including a handful in the 2024 class and a new 2023 Cali transfer to that Desert Edge program. Take a look at who’s recruiting lit up for the West Valley contender:
Aundre Gibson Aundre Gibson 5'11" | 175 lbs | DB Desert Edge | 2024 State AZ , DB, ’24
After a stellar sophomore season, Gibson lived up to the hype and established himself as one of the top DB’s in the state, ultimately earning a plethora of offers this winter-spring. He most recently saw a major spark, picking up offers from Arizona State, Iowa State, UNLV, Washington State and Oregon all within a 2 week span. A highly touted player with a terrific ceiling that projects to continue to be one of the most dominant players in the secondary throughout the next 2 seasons.
After a great conversation with @SpiceBoy408 @CaliBloodLine81 @KennyDillingham I am blessed to receive my 10th D1 offer from @oregonfootball @DEdgeFootball @papirican21 @AZcoachHenri pic.twitter.com/zRUnkVtVGn

Deshawn Warner, OLB, ’24
Warner’s 6’4″ 205lb frame was already an initial eye grabber for college coaches, then combine that with his raw athleticism with excellent bend, quickness, violent/athletic hands and strength at the POA and you have yourself an instant Division 1 prospect. He landed his 1st offer from Iowa State on May 3rd, then it didn’t take long after that to receive offers from UNLV, Oregon State, Washington State, Northern Arizona, and San Diego State. He’s a kid that has really seemed to develop quick, and I don’t see that slowing down anytime soon for Warner. I’m looking forward to see the leap he takes entering his Junior season and the many more offers to come his way.
Jaylen Dawson Jaylen Dawson 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Desert Edge | 2024 State AZ , LB, ’24
Dawson initially caught my eye in the playoffs against Salpointe, an I’ve been very interested to see which program would be the 1st to pull the trigger ever since. UNLV made the smart decision to offer Dawson on May 3rd, then Northern Arizona followed up with an offer the other day. Strong and stout frame and build at 6’1″ 220lbs with excellent play strength to frequently win at the POC. He’s developing into a very well-polished LB that reads and plays the run exceptionally well to recognize opening alleys, eat up ground, or pursuit laterally when needed to make plays. Definitely deserving of many more offers which I believe should come through relatively soon.
Kaleb Jackson-Carter, OL, ’23
Jackson-Carter is a new face in the Desert Edge program, recently transferring in from Clovis West High School in Fresno, California. The 6’5″ 275lb offensive lineman grabbed his 1st offer from San Diego State a few days ago, and I’m sure it won’t be his last. Excellent frame and length with solid lateral movement and play strength. He played against some tough competition out in Cali, and projects to translate well here in AZ to be one of the top linemen throughout the season.

Kezion Dia-Johnson, ATH, ’24
The Cesar Chavez transfer landed his 1st offer from UNLV on May 3rd, and once again wasted no time picking up offers from Oregon State, Washington State, and Oregon just a few days later. The 6’0″ 170lb speedster is as athletic as they come, and is a threat to take it to the house on any given play. A difference maker on special teams or with the ball in his hands in general. He can be utilized from multiple spots and is a very dynamic player overall, and it’ll be interesting to see him get loose this fall and grow that offer list.
