Lift: 245 lbs Bench Press
Nicholas is a regular in these lifting recaps. He is back with another impressive freshman lift of 245 lbs on the bench. The young, rising athlete already has solid length for the position, so being able to push that weight is not easy. He is building a great base of strength for next season.

Bruce Rezin, ’25 ATH- Tomah
Lift: 230 lbs Bench Press
Bruce is another regular in this series. He checks in with a 230 lbs bench this month. Solid lift for the 170 lbs freshman. The mulit-sport athlete is one I will be keeping an eye on for the next several years. Love to see a young kid putting in the work.

Lift: 340 lbs Bench Press
The 6′ 230 lbs LB battled a bit for this big lift. He did good not to let his technique slip. Big fan of Reese at the LB position where he will get to use that upper body strength to fight through the trenches. Name to know.

The young fella put up one of the most impressive lifts of this two part series. The sophomore broke into the 500 lbs club with this massive squat. He had to battle on the initial push, but overall this was a smooth lift. I’m excited to see his play this year, and to look back on his 2021.

The Fondy RB is going to be a strong, workhorse option for his team this year with an offseason like the one he is putting in. Textbook lift on this squat. Good depth, stays tall, keeps the core engaged. Love to see it all!

Brandon Danor, ’23 DL- Fond du Lac
Lift: 505 lbs Squat ( 250+ lbs School Record)
Junior Brandon Danor had a special March as he set the school squat record for his weight class. It was a fight, but it did not look like there were 500 lbs on the kid’s back. Brandon is firmly on my radar now. I’ll be checking him out further. Potential name to know.

Dylan Portz, ’25 WR- Kettle Moraine
Lift: 475 lbs Deadlift, 550 lbs Trap Bar Deadlift, 350 lbs Squat X 2
Dylan has been killing it this month. He put up a couple of huge deadlift variations, and an impressive two rep squat. The freshman is excelling in the explosive lifts telling me that I need to keep an eye out for him this fall. Interested in what his impact will be as a sophomore on a very talented varsity.

Grey Rumohr, ’24 OL- Kettle Moraine
Lift: 650 lbs Trap Bar Deadlift PR
This is where having exceptional length helps. When you are trying to lock down the blindside on the OL, and when trying to drag 650 ls off the ground. Grey locks in a pulls this impressive lift back on the 17th. Grey is a rising prospect, and has big time breakout potential. He impressed at our Winter Showcase back in December also. Great offseason, thus far.

Isaac Pelland Isaac Pelland 6'2" | 220 lbs | ATH Baraboo | 2024 State WI , ’24 ATH- Baraboo
Lift: 255 lbs Bench Press
This is a new name for me to check out. The sophomore is buidling a solid base for the fall. He is just starting to scratch the surface on his potential. Baraboo will be looking for new impacts after several key pieces graduated. Isaac will have a shot to have a bigger role in ’22.

Sawyer Lichtensteiger Sawyer Lichtensteiger 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB West Bend East | 2023 State WI , ’23 LB- West Bend East
Lift: 300 lbs Power Clean
What a freaking lift! Sawyer is a dominant pass rusher who flies off the edge. I see where he gets that next level first step explosion. Gripping and ripping these types of power cleans in the offseason are going to take him to the next level. Get on him early!

JP Rguig, ’23 ATH- Lake Mills
Lift: 405 lbs Squat X 3
This is a new name on my radar after seeing this lift. JP is a compact WR and DB who is able to play bigger than his listed size because of his explosive lower half. Lifts like this are just going to improve his play even more. Lake Mills has several names to know each year. This might be one of the next athletes to know.

Lift: 365 lbs Squat X 3
Love seeing the QB in the weight room leading the way. Seth just wrapped up basketball season, and he didn’t waste time heading right back to work. Pumped to watch him take over this year.
