The 2024 Rankings just dropped, and we’ve got a new Top 10. We have a few huge risers, a few in the Top 10 since day 1, and players who have fallen out of the Top 10. After writing this article, I find a few things extremely interesting. In short, most of these prospects attend programs that face top teams during the regular season, and many of these athletes play for the most storied and famous programs in the state. In addition, every single one of these prospects are extremely consistent in their craft. There is no offseason for the top 10, and most are very active on social media. #1 QB [player_tooltip player_id="77217" first="CJ" last="Carr"] I’ve talked extensively about Carr and why he’s the consensus #1 on many lists. In short, he’s got all the fundamental prowess of an elite QB, the stats to back it up, and a work ethic/personality that is highly passionate and marketable. Any college would love to have Carr on their roster, and I can’t wait to see where he goes. #2 WR [player_tooltip player_id="190093" first="Nick" last="Marsh"] Get Marshed. Nicholas Marsh is the best receiver in the class, as time and time again, he’s performed very well against the best of the best. His consistency and hard work have kept him at the top, and I am confident he’ll be an asset to any college program with NFL potential. #3 DL [player_tooltip player_id="80954" first="Brandon" last="Davis-Swain"] Newly committed to Notre Dame, [player_tooltip player_id="80954" first="Brandon" last="Davis-Swain"] is a well-rounded defensive lineman with all the hard work, stats, and physical gifts that make up an elite DL prospect. Davis-Swain is a dominant talent even against the best programs in the state, and he’s more than proven himself on that front. He’s committed to Notre Dame in what looks like an "early move," but Davis-Swain is feeling very good about his commitment. #4 DB [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"] Another athlete who has solidified himself at the top, [player_tooltip player_id="77223" first="Jacob" last="Oden"] is as dominant and consistent as they come. He never stops improving while always facing top competition during the season and offseason. He’s had recent visits to some elite programs such as Notre Dame, and his recruiting journey is something to follow closely. #5 TE [player_tooltip player_id="248962" first="Brady" last="Prieskorn"] Now here’s a player who skyrocketed up boards this past season. Prieskorn was dominant in Adams Veer offense, as he was perfectly utilized as a blocker and vertical threat. Of course, most of the credit goes to Prieskorn for all of the hard work he’s put in, but I am very impressed by his utilization in the offense. The Veer system usually doesn’t lend itself to substantial individual performances, but the nature of the offense lets Prieskorn become extremely well-rounded with his blocking and receiving. #6 LB [player_tooltip player_id="187999" first="Jeremiah" last="Beasley"] The first of many Belleville Tigers in the rankings, Beasley is a pure athlete who will dominate this coming season. The offers from teams like Indiana, Michigan, and Michigan State say it all. #7 QB [player_tooltip player_id="77216" first="Isaiah" last="Marshall"] Marshall has been very consistent and relentless with his craft. In the OAA, Marshall faces many great defenses year in and year out, in addition to competing as much as he can during the offseason. The offers are never-ending, and the sky’s the limit. #8 ATH/RB [player_tooltip player_id="99436" first="Gabriel" last="Winowich"] Offered by Maryland and Rutgers, [player_tooltip player_id="99436" first="Gabriel" last="Winowich"] is a weight room beast with consistently dominant on-field performances. Like many RBs, the offers aren’t as amazing as others in the top 10, but he’ll get those offers in due time. As long as Winowich keeps working out like Captain America and plays his own brand of football, he’ll remain in the top 10 and even more importantly, have a great college career. #9 DB [player_tooltip player_id="187991" first="Jamir" last="Benjamin"] Another athlete with a long list of offers, West Bloomfield’s [player_tooltip player_id="187991" first="Jamir" last="Benjamin"] continues to compete at an elite level. I don’t have anything profound to say about Benjamin that I haven’t already said, but I just know that if he keeps improving he’ll be an asset for a great college program. #10 TE [player_tooltip player_id="188007" first="Dylan" last="Mesman"] I had Mesman a tad higher than Prieskorn back in December, but the offers just kept heading Prieskorn’s way before Mesman. Nevertheless, Mesman has gotten those elite offers and the credit he deserves, although a bit late. Mesman is more of a vertical threat, but I would argue that his receiving skills are the best in his position, and among the best in class out of any position. The only area of his game that needs more tape is blocking.
