I want to begin by making sure to say I am disappointed that I was not able to attend the most recent PrepRedzoneMN Showcase this past weekend, and I heard there was an undeniable amount of talent and competition at the Brooklyn Park-hosted event and I missed out on some poppin’ 1-on-1s and some future college football stars. I was busy getting engaged to the love of my life, so it’s not like I was sitting on my butt, and going forward I won’t miss another PRzMN Showcase and am profoundly thankful for every participant’s involvement and enthusiasm. Although I wasn’t able to attend the competition in person, I still want to contribute to the Showcase’s coverage and am stoked to bring to our subscribers an All-Testing+ Newcomers feature.
The PrepRedzoneMN Showcase is an excellent way for younger prospects to get their name on our team’s radar sooner rather than later, especially when you test well at the opening portion of our events, so twice a year I eagerly devour the testing numbers from every attendee’s efforts, record and catalog the results, and make sure to denote and find as many new names as possible. Right here, right now I’ll give you guys some detailed access to my thoughts, findings, and excitements from Saturday’s Prospect Tour stop in Brooklyn Park. Congratulations and thank you to all of the selections!

Newcomers & Young Bucks to Know
[player_tooltip player_id="250928" first="William" last="Washington"] (Apple Valley) DB. 2024.
Already ranked, but at almost 6’1, 180 pounds and clocking in with a 4.56 40 and 9’1 broad, there are some intriguing explosive testing digits he put into the recruiting space last week in Brooklyn Park.
[player_tooltip player_id="246026" first="TJ" last="Christensen"] (Litchfield) DL. C/o 2024.
Comes in light at 6’4, 195 pounds but showed off great lateral agility and explosiveness by recording a 4.56 and 4.6 short shuttle and 9’3" and 9’ in the broad jump.
Ashton Sayre (Alexandria) DE. C/o 2023.
I feel bad that I’m finally getting the rising senior on my radar, but he put up some great numbers at a great size coming from northern Minnesota. 6’4, 236 pounds, and a strong 235+ to boot. 5 flat in the 40, 4.81 shuttle, and 9’1 broad jump. Those are great numbers for that size and that athleticism has and is going to, pay off on the gridiron.
Shandon Anderson (Osseo) LB. 2024.
Just as his Twitter says, Anderson is indeed 215ish pounds and I am happy to see that he wasn’t lying in the measurables in his bio, as his size caught my attention when I first followed him on Twitter. 6’.5", 212 pounds, great quickness with a 4.7 and 4.6 short shuttle. Also 8’9 broad and 5.1 40. and gives the impression that he would destroy some kids and work multiple gaps in the run game between the tackles.
Riley Peters (Pequot Lakes) OL. 2024.
Good size for a rising junior interior offensive lineman from Outstate Minnesota who is sitting at 6’1, 259 pounds and clocked a 4.9 shuttle to show off some quickness.
Reece Dawson (Rogers) QB. 2024.
Came in at a bone-crunching 6’2.5, 205 pounds going into his upperclassman campaign. 5.12 in the 40, 4.88 in the shuttle, and 8’2 in the broad jump. Wish I could have seen him throw.
Tate Hawf (West Lyon, Iowa) RB. 2025.
Came north for the loaded PRzMN Showcase competition and did not look or test like a freshman at 5’11, 188 pounds. I also liked that there wasn’t a big drop-off in his results between reps, as he went 4.69 and 4.72 in the 40, 4.53 and 4.59 in the 5-10-5, and 9’2 and 9’ in the broad. They make ’em strong in our neighbors to the south, so I’m going to be keeping a close eye on Hawf going forward.
Ramero Trevino (Willmar) RB. 2024.
Checks in as a bruising tailback who measured in at 5’10, 203 pounds. Went 4.88 and 4.66 40 times for a solid 4.7ish average and a 4.69 and 4.72 in the 5-10-5 for some certified quickness. Also went 8’5 on the broad and I like how the powerful workhorse fits into the Willmar offense going into his junior season.
Joshua Wedel (Chaska) WR. 2025. 6’4, 219 lbs.
I’m very excited about the future of Chaska Hawk rising sophomore Joshua Wedel and think he has the potential to take over the eventual #1 ranking in the 2025 class. Put up eye-popping numbers with a 5.03 in the 40, 4.89 short shuttle, and 9’5 broad. I really like that broad jump at an already firm 220ish for an underclassman. Chaska is one of the most consistent bigger school programs of the past half decade+ as well.
