The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future.
By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team.
Below, we’ll take a look at Part 1 of the class of 2026 Virginia prospects, labeled as running back and wide receiver prospects, that are currently on the Watch List.

At 6’0” 215lbs, Dabney was a dominant tailback in his 8th grade season. Primarily a between-the-tackles bruiser, he runs with patience and good vision inside. Gets his pad level low despite his size and shows good burst on his cuts, while routinely running through arm tackles in the open field. He also demonstrated soft hands out of the backfield as a receiver when called upon. Already holds an offer from Pitt.
[player_tooltip player_id="284214" first="Savion" last="Hiter"] | Running Back | Virginia
Hiter possesses an elite combination of power and speed. At 5’11” 170lbs. he has great size for the position and is a tough runner to bring down. However, even more impressive is the burst and acceleration on his first step. He hits holes with smooth precision and breaks through to the second level of defenses with ease. He maintains speed while making moves in traffic and is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
[player_tooltip player_id="284210" first="JaShon" last="McIntyre"] | Running Back | Virginia
“Flash” McIntyre is an extremely quick and shifty weapon in the open field, with gamebreaking speed and versatility. He has great feet and balance, good ability catching the ball, and can be dangerous in a multitude of roles. He was used as a traditional halfback, slot receiver, flanker, and kick returner during his 2021 season – where he made highlight reel plays in all facets of the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="212452" first="Deshawn" last="Smith"] | Running Back | Virginia
Smith is a power runner who explodes through holes and over tacklers. He has a good balance of speed and toughness as a feature back, with good cutting ability and vision to locate cutback lanes and voids in defenses. An intimidating runner, he is a load to bring down and can still make people miss when isolated in space.
[player_tooltip player_id="284205" first="Andre" last="Clark"] | Wide Receiver | Virginia
As a young receiver, Clark appears to already have many of the tools needed to play at the next level. He is tall and strong at 6’0” 215lbs, with long arms and smooth long strides on the move. He shows good feet and release off of the line and efficient footwork getting in and out of his routes in both the intermediate and deep portions of the field. Clark projects as an excellent outside receiver with big play ability at the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id="212461" first="Jyran" last="Evans"] | Wide Receiver | Virginia
A truly gifted looking prospect, [player_tooltip player_id="212461" first="Jyran" last="Evans"] has already garnered interest from colleges before even suiting up for a high school game. At 6’2” 175lbs, he already has a varsity-ready body and possesses explosive playmaking ability as an outside receiver. With his great size, length, and leaping ability, Evans makes it looks easy to beat cornerbacks and snag contested jump balls over them down the field. Already holds a host of offers from P5 schools.
[player_tooltip player_id="284206" first="Benjamin" last="Whitver"] | Wide Receiver | Virginia
Whitver is a great looking receiver who excelled in his 8th grade season, showing he could move the sticks for his offense and make big plays downfield. Defenses often played off coverage against him, allowing him to show great hands and body control underneath. Using his frame to box out defenders and secure passes in traffic, he was great on intermediate routes and production. This efficiency opened up big play opportunities for him, as defenses came up tighter or were left susceptible to the double-move. When it opened up, Whitver showed he could also run past coverage downfield and get separation for the big play.
