Here’s a look at some of the top middle school prospects based off their combine testing performances.
Kingston Dunagan | Illinois | Wide Receiver | 2026
Has been our radar for a few weeks now and his stock keeps going up. The future Mount Carmel Caravan athlete checked every box and measured in at a hair under 5-foot-11 and 199 pounds. After wrapping up his youth career with the Illinois Jr. Celtics, Dunagan took to the combine and left people talking about his power and ability. He ran a top-10 forty yard dash with a 5.11, the second best power ball toss with a 37’3″, a top-10 vertical jump of 25″ and the best broad jump of all 2026 athletes with a 9’0″. His broad jump was the furthest by eight inches. Watch out for his young man.
Kendrick Tunstall | Missouri | Athlete | 2026
Just behind Dunagan, looking at the combine scores alone, it’s hard not to argue Tunstall didn’t have the most impressive day. One of only three middle schoolers to run a sub 5.0 in the forty, Tunstall tested out great. Out of all middle school athletes, recorded the best pro-agility time with a 4.31 and top vertical with 27″. Also finished tied for the second best broad jump with an 8’4″. Only knock on Tunstall was his size at 5-foot-4 and 123 pounds. However, he’s just in middle school and time will tell where hose numbers end up.
Jayden Ellington Jayden Ellington 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Althoff Catholic | 2027 IL | Illinois | Quarterback | 2027
Just a seventh-grader, when seeing his testing numbers I was very impressed. Measured in at 5-foot-9 and 143 pounds and ran the fastest 40-yard dash out of any middle schooler in attendance with a 4.89. He coupled that score with the second best pro-agility time with a 4.44. Proving he wasn’t just a speed guy, he also showed some impressive power numbers to the tun of a 30’3″ power ball toss.
Graham Faust | Missouri | Wide Receiver | 2026
For my money, the middle school prospect with the biggest upside at the Elite Football Combine was Faust. Measured in at 6-foot-1 and 149 pounds, but looks significantly bigger. Ran a 4.97 in the forty-yard dash, good enough for the second best time. Showed some considerable power with a 29’5″ power ball toss and an 8″ broad jump. Kid has a huge catch radius and looks impressive.
Jaxson Truitt | Missouri | Wide Receiver | 2026
Another wide out who flashed out was Truitt, who is a teammate of the above mentioned Tunstall. Truit was a little on the smaller side at 5-foot-9 and 130 pounds, but he proved he has some ability. Finished with the third-best pro-agility time with a 4.53 and third-best broad jump at 8’3″.
