Thompson is a really good athlete who does just about everything well. He breaks tackles effortlessly and gets to the edge quickly on off-tackle runs. He has solid field vision can make big plays out of nothing. Thompson had a breakout game against eventual CIF and state champion Scripps Ranch where he rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-35 win which earned him top player of the week honors.

4. Conner Rath, Poway
Rath is a big dude at 6-foot-3 and over 200 pounds. His long strides give him breakaway speed and his size makes him tough to bring down. He reminds me of former NFL running back Darren McFadden. Rath rushed for 1,163 yards on 141 carries with 12 touchdowns. He is a guy who should be getting some more college looks this offseason leading into the fall.
It didn't lead to a score, but @PowayFootball's Conner Rath (@conner_rath) had the best run of the night on Friday.
Spin move in the backfield, subtle cut to the near sideline to get through three defenders, and a monster stiff-arm.

3. Nico Mosley, Mater Dei Catholic
Mosley is a running back who may project to be a slot receiver at the next level. As a running back, he hits the whole fast and it often creates one-on-one matchups with slower linebackers which he can avoid. Mater Dei finds lots of ways to get him the ball, using him in the slot occasionally. Speed is his strength but he has the power to lower his shoulder occasionally and get that extra yard.

2. Major Givens Major Givens 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Steele Canyon | 2023 State CA , Steele Canyon
The thing that makes Givens special is his ability to change direction on a dime. Several of his runs look like sweeps and he cuts almost 90 degrees and breaks off big runs up the middle. He has really impressed at offseason showcases like Prep Redzone and Rivals partially due to his performance in agility drills like the shuttle and L drill. He has a big frame and is tough to bring down. He also has the speed to create mismatches in pass coverage. Montana State recently offered him.

1. Roderick Robinson II Roderick Robinson II 6'1" | 220 lbs | RB Lincoln (San Diego) | 2023 State CA , Lincoln
Robinson is built like a brick house at 230 pounds. He is incredibly strong but also can turn on the jets and outrun people. He runs best between the tackles and but can run off tackle as well. He just was named MVP of the Rivals Camp in Los Angeles and is a guy you notice immediately when you see him in person. He has tons of offers including Arizona, Jackson State, Oregon. Tennessee. UCLA and USC among others.
