The prospects listed below have the greatest buzz around their names right now and have a recruiting stock that sits in a nice place currently that places them on the right trajectory for the D1 and Power Five college level.
1. (QB) Brock Glenn Brock Glenn 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Lausanne | 2023 State TN – Lausanne
Blessed and Thankful to receive an offer from The University of Houston! All Glory to God!@UHCougarFB @CoachDawson_UH @LausanneFB pic.twitter.com/5dXa1xp6Nw
— Brock Glenn Brock Glenn 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Lausanne | 2023 State TN (@Brock1Glenn) February 11, 2022
– Glenn is quietly becoming one of the top quarterback prospects not only in the state but also the entire country. This West Tennessee product is definitely one of the more hottest prospects in this class right now as Glenn has received double digit, Division 1 offers over the past month or so and he may not be done adding options. A smooth thrower with “A” plus mechanics, Glenn is being pursued by some of the top programs in the country and may have a few schools that stick but he has yet to claim a leader. Being that he is a quarterback, look for Glenn to start narrowing down his options soon and begin focusing on his top selected schools.
Offers: Arkansas St., Cincinnati, Duke, Ga Southern, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Liberty, Marshall, Memphis, Michigan St., Missouri, Oklahoma St., Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Austin Peay, Eastern Ky, UT-Martin
2. (WR) Justin Brown Justin Brown 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Blackman | 2023 State TN – Blackman
– This Blaze wideout has exploded onto the recruiting scene over the early months of the 2022 year and Brown may not be done as several high profile programs are out there and have yet to offer. What has coaches enamored with Brown is his ability to run the route tree as well as sporting nice size and speed. Brown has a lot of traits that play well on the collegiate level, so it’s all about refining those traits over the spring and summer months, preparing himself for a big senior season to come. I don’t expect to see Brown’s stock dip anytime soon as he has created enough buzz to remain at the level he is currently on and possibly go into 4-star status soon
Offers: Ball St., Coastal Carolina, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Memphis, MTSU, Memphis, Miami, Mississippi St, Missouri, Northwestern, Ole Miss, Penn St., Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Va Tech, Austin Peay, Tennessee St.
3. (WR) London Humphreys London Humphreys 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR CPA | 2023 State TN – CPA
– It took a minute for the offers to arrive but they are here and I expect many, many more to come Humphreys way, including possibly some Power Five options. The recruiting stock for this Lions wideout is still growing and developing but having thoroughly scouted this Nashville native, I expect to see Humphreys to continue adding big time college offers over the coming months, especially as coaches work with him during camp season. Humphreys brings a lot of great traits to the field from size, length and speed as well as high upside and potential on the next level. Look for this guy to break out even further over the coming months.
Offers: Arkansas St., Charlotte, MTSU
4. (TE) Ben Marshall Ben Marshall 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Blackman | 2023 State TN – Blackman
Blessed to receive an offer from West Virginia University 🟡🔵 @CoachSeanReagan @NealBrown_WVU @ChandlerTygard @Coach_C_Ren @CSmithScout @NCEC_Recruiting @NatlPlaymkrsAca @AthleteLevel pic.twitter.com/v2QJ7F3PLv
— Ben Marshall Ben Marshall 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Blackman | 2023 State TN (@_Ben_Marshall_) February 2, 2022
– During the early stages of the 2023 recruiting cycle, Marshall has established himself as not only one of the top prospects in this state but also one of the best tight end prospects in the country. This tall, long and athletic pass catcher used his big junior season to his advantage and coaches have fallen in line with seeing this guy’s potential for the collegiate level and how much more growth he has to go. Marshall is the kind of tight end that can yes play on the line and block but he can also go out wide and become a mis-match problem for smaller defenders. Marshall already holds some big offers but plenty are out there to be had, so expect this guy’s stock to continue to grow.
Offers: Arkansas St., Coastal Carolina, FIU, Indiana, Liberty, Memphis, MTSU, NC State, Ole Miss, Pittsburgh, UAB, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Austin Peay, Eastern Ky
5. (T/G) Joe Crocker Joe Crocker 6'6" | 310 lbs | OL FRA | 2023 State TN – FRA
– The 2023 crop of offensive linemen is the best this state has ever had and Crocker during these offseason months has established himself as one of the best and the offers he is receiving justifies just that. Just over the last two months, Crocker has added new offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Florida St., Michigan St., Purdue, Wisconsin and others. This Panthers O-lineman has the size and power but has really improved his lower body agility and overall athleticism during the offseason months, which has now made him a legit national recruit and someone that will continue to see offers come his way.
Offers: Boston College, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Florida St., Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan St., Mississippi St., Purdue, Tennessee, Tulane, UAB, Virginia, Wisconsin, Tennessee St,
6. (T/G) Tyler Bell Tyler Bell 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Lausanne | 2023 State TN – Lausanne
After a great talk with Coach @CoachDLett I am blessed to receive an offer from Arkansas State University @AStateFB @CoachAKwon @CoachButchJones @LausanneFB #WolvesUp 🐺‼️🙌🏾 pic.twitter.com/knMYOMcmjX
— Tyler Bell Tyler Bell 6'3" | 295 lbs | OL Lausanne | 2023 State TN (@TylerBell73) February 18, 2022
– Things are progressing in the right direction for this Memphis area O-lineman as his 1st collegiate offers have finally arrived and they certainly won’t be his last. Just recently, Bell picked up his 1st D1 offer from Liberty, followed by Arkansas St. but he has several other high caliber D1 programs hot on his trail that could pull the trigger on an offer very soon. Bell is a talented young man that could play a variety of roles across the O-line in college and even stay at tackle. He is an athletic and powerful blocker that will only get better as time goes on. I expect to see this guy’s stock to only continue growing over the coming camp season months.
Offers: Arkansas St., Liberty, Eastern Ky, UT-Martin
7. (T/G) Brandon Solis Brandon Solis 6'8" | 275 lbs | OL Lipscomb Acad. | 2023 State TN – Lipscomb Academy
– Solis is one offensive lineman out of the big group of talented blockers we have for the 2023 in-state class that may have as much upside of them all and collegiate coaches have taken notice. This Middle Tennessee product fits and looks the part of a college offensive tackle as Solis has the size (6’7 260), length and frame that you see on the D1, Power Five level on Saturday’s. The biggest thing about Solis that stands out to me is the fact that he is still far from a finished product as he has more development to go which tells you how scary his upside and potential is inside the collegiate game. Watch this guy break out even further with recruitment, obtaining some big time offers.
Offers: Arkansas St., Indiana, Kansas, Marshall, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Eastern Ky
8. (DL) Anthony Boggs Anthony Boggs 6'5" | 265 lbs | DL Baylor | 2023 State TN – Baylor
– People better start learning about this guy as Boggs is a legit Division 1 recruit with big time potential and upside to cause lots of damage on the college gridiron. This Red Raiders defender more than looks the part, he is a scary looking guy based on size alone (6’5 255) along with having violet hands and a quick 1st step. The Bearcats at Cincinnati pulled the trigger first, which to me solidifies his talents and tells me that eventually more and more big time college programs will get on board with this talented defensive lineman. Boggs has the potential to possibly be the best defensive lineman in this class when we look back after his college career is over.
Offers: Cincinnati, Eastern Ky
9. (LB) Bryan Longwell Bryan Longwell 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Lipscomb Academy | 2023 State TN – Lipscomb Academy
Blessed to receive an offer from @CoachReynolds81 to play at Arkansas State University. @si_one11 @DilfersDimes @Crushboy31 @CoachMal7 @AStateFB pic.twitter.com/chgRrbsjnY
— Bryan Longwell Bryan Longwell 6'1" | 225 lbs | LB Lipscomb Academy | 2023 State TN (@bryan_longwell2) February 15, 2022
– The linebacking corps here in Tennessee for the ‘23 class is still developing but Longwell has already established himself as one of the top guys in this group and the offers are starting to show that. Just over the last month, Longwell has seen an increase with his recruitment and I don’t expect it to slow down anytime soon. This Mustangs tackler is well built along with having an excellent first step and range towards the ball as well as being technique sound when bringing down the ball carrier. Longwell is a true middle backer that will only continue to see his stock grow over the coming months as more coaches evaluate his film.
Offers: Arkansas St., Liberty, Memphis, Austin Peay
10. (Ath) Bo Burklow Bo Burklow 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE CPA | 2023 State TN – CPA
– Burklow has quickly become a marked man on the recruiting trail and I don’t expect to see his rise slow down anytime soon but actually continue to grow as this Middle Tennessee product may have some of the best upside of all prospects in this state and class. A physical specimen with versatility, Burklow is one of those guys that walks off the bus and immediately looks the part. He is an imposing figure on and off the field that still has enough within his frame to grow even further. The question for the next level is what position will Burklow play? Is he a tight end or edge rusher? Personally I feel he is an edge rusher but either way, this guy is talented and will continue to see big time offers come his way.
Offers: Arkansas St., Ball St., Charlotte, Memphis, MTSU, Ohio, Austin Peay, Eastern Ky, Yale
