As we enter into the halfway point of the football off-season, there are plenty of 2025 prospects that are coming off huge Freshman seasons and who will be some of the top players in the Bay this fall, regardless of class. Below, we will check the tape of some of the top Freshman from around the Bay Area.

OL Losopini Tupou, Riordan HS
Tupou plays in one of the toughest leagues in the state and started at guard for Riordan last Fall. On tape, he is a very athletic interior lineman that will continue to grow and develop into a impressive prospect. He plays with heavy hands and excels in pass protection with active feet, a strong base and good lateral movement abilities when sustaining blocks and washing speed rushers. In the run game, he is physical at the POA while able to maul defenders with a low pad level and good leg drive through the first two levels.
EDGE Jesse Myers, Cardinal Newman HS
Myers is one of the top edge rushers in the North Bay and is only a Freshman. Having terrific length for the position for his age, he is explosive off the ball with natural bend and twitch when pass rushing and plays with a relentless motor and good toughness. On film, he shows an active use of hands when going upfield and can flip his hips quickly while understanding counter moves and when to use speed and power rushes depending on the offensive line set. A smart player, he will continue to develop into one of the Bay Areas elite pass rushers as he moves through high school and has the frame and length to play at the division 1 level if he keeps developing.
WR [player_tooltip player_id="282716" first="Jadyn" last="Hudson"], Pittsburg HS
Hudson has seen his recruiting take off in recent months picking up offers from Cal, FAU, Pitt, Utah State and FAU. During his Freshman season, Hudson showed great position versatility on both sides of the ball and natural instincts and ball skills from his safety position. Offensively, he has a long stride, exceptional ball skills and strong hands in traffic. Able to locate the ball from various different positions and angles, he shows a good third level burst in the open field and will only continue to develop and grow. His length, long arms and fluid athleticism make him a high upside and very intriguing prospect.
OL [player_tooltip player_id="282759" first="Champ" last="Taulealea"], Valley Christian-San Jose HS

The WCAL Freshman of the year is one of the top offensive lineman in the region regardless of class and is a massive interior blocker. Very physical and strong at the POA, he is a powerful player that comes off the ball quickly and creates immediate knock-back in the run game. Versatile in the run game, he can block vertically while also able to pull when needed with quick feet and gets his head to the right side of collapsing defensive ends. When kicked out to tackle, he is explosive out of his stance and can reach and block in space while able to scrape to the second level with heavy hands and good toughness. Taulealea is a no brainer high level FBS prospect.
