Watching Bailey connect with his wide outs on deeper routes, shows off so much not only in his arm strength, but the way this kid owns the pocket. It’s easy to read when a young man has great chemistry with his receiving core and that looks to be the case for Mr. Thacker despite just completing his sophomore year. He shows a rapid quick release from play action regardless of which of the three levels of the field he plans on throwing to. I would say one of the biggest developments for this young to enhance his game even more is adding more stamina with his speed when he extends the play with his legs on a deep run. If I am a D1 school I am starting to take a strong look at this young man, as he completed nearly 70 percent of his passes as a sophomore with nearly a 5/1 touchdown to interception ratio. Still way under the radar though with great measurables at 6’3 195.
Mason Sedoris | DB/WR | Oldham County | 2023
I love watching Mason’s vision in his natural habitat as a free safety. He is spot on with his acceleration and timing on tracking the football very well. He also has significant range to maneuver in his zone and can take off from the middle of the field and get to the sidelines within a adequate amount of time. I really like the bounce off he has in his footwork, as he sets him to get to the ball quicker as far as my eyes can see. I think some improvement on his contact level and agility to get off blockers quicker will give this kid some opportunities at the next level. A high academic prospect with just under a 3.9 GPA
Sage Dawson | CB/ATH | Boyle County | 2023
Watching this young man’s footwork improve from his sophomore tape to his junior tape is excellent. He shows off a quick trigger when clinging to the thrown ball with hammering the gas to the able at a high rate of speed. Has one of the highest contact levels I have seen in a prospect his says when he breaks into the next level of the field. Sage has some rabid ball tracking skills that assures that his pass break up is not going to mistakenly go into somehow elses hands. Sage is a super elusive weapon on the first level of the field and with that robust footwork and speed, can become a first down problem if they don’t take his game seriously (which they really should). This kid is also a workhorse in the weight room, just recently setting a school record for the bench-press in his weight class. As I always will say, its not about the size, its about the fight and Sage Dawson certainly plays with a lot of that. Certainly a next-level prospect in my eyes.
TJ Greenwell | RB/ATH | Bardstown | 2023
TJ has a great shake in his hips as he can turn on a dime to send the defender in the other direction. He shows a ton of versatility as a slotback and running back and I can already read is a prospect that will play anywhere you want him to. He has excellent speed and his burst takes off stronger when he sees the open field. I am not much of one for stats, but the fact that this young man had 26 touchdowns and nearly hit double 1000s with his rushing and receiving yards, is just crazy solid. His ability to change directions and flip the field make this young man a strong scholarship level prospect that some my view undersized, but well-worth it in my eyes. Just watch the footwork and speed and you will become a big fan of this kid. No offers as of yet.
Jeremiah Goodwin | OLB/TE | Owensboro | 2023
I like to consider myself quick a whip when it comes to watching tape but sometimes the speed of a kid on a play it takes me a couple times, which is a darn great thing to see out of Jeremiah Goodwin of Owensboro. If you blink, you might miss the explosiveness that Jeremiah brings on every play with a great burst and excellent shedding skills. Jeremiah seems like a prospect that his 40 time doesn’t do the justice as his game speed is very quick. He shows off a substantial reach that can cause problems for the ball carrier if they are lacking on ball security. Even if he doesn’t make solid contact with your ball carrier this kid’s reach is like watching a center block shots on the hardwood, with great aggression. Watching the motor of this kid is a fun watch and I can’t wait to watch his senior season unfold. Certainly a D1 prospect in my eyes that logged 13 sacks and a whopping 20 tackles for a loss as a junior with another year on his plate coming soon.
Avery Bodner | RB/SS | Boyle County | 2024
Avery is a well-built one cut back that has an aggressive stiff arm in his arsenal. He shows a sound exploding ability out of the backfield and has some firm durability he can use when working the outside of the field. Avery shows great hand level when he’s in pursuit as a blocker as he’s shown to get solid leverage with those aggressive hands I mentioned earlier, and can hold his own against a defensive linemen keeping him in place and not over him. The biggest development I see with a few years to go for Avery is finishing his runs with developed stamina as he starts out hot but then slowly loses some luster by the end of his run. It’s very easy to see why with this Twitter Mania session why Boyle County was so dominant in 2021, as they have two solid prospects on this list with next-level potential for sure!
