Five Stepping Up: Wide Receivers

We are continuing to explore which players will have to step with senior’s who balled out last year exiting. Our focus is on the playmakers on the outside, the wide receivers. Below we will review the wide receivers who are ready to show opponent’s that they have next. &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="239876" first="Isaac" last="Conner"] | Bennington | Jr | 6’2’  185lbs Isaac has to try and fill the production void of 1013 yards and 12 touchdowns left by [player_tooltip player_id="147989" first="Cayden" last="Bluhm"]. Isaac is a two sport athlete, as he also plays basketball for the Badgers. He has good size and frame, which will give the quarterback a target to throw at. He averaged over 18 yards a catch last year so he does have the deep threat potential. Benning who is also a two sport athlete, is more known for his defensive skillset, however he played good minutes on the offensive side of the ball. He is high IQ football players so his ability to run routes and find open spaces will play strongly with Westside’s offensive game plan. They are losing some real talent at every skill position on offense heading into next year. The next man up is Hall. He is an explosive player who has strong hands with solid route running. He will fill the void left by [player_tooltip player_id="147505" first="Kaden" last="Helms"], who had just under a 1,000 receiving yards with 11 touchdowns. Hall had just under 600 yards and 9 touchdowns himself. Hall’s talent is apparent and he has already received Division I interest from multiple schools. Coleman is more than capable of filling those shoes and his big body creates a great target, especially near the end zone. With his size, opponents get surprised by his speed. He averaged over 33 yards per catch last year and had 10 touchdowns, serious big play potential. Coleman has also drawn the eye of multiple Division I universities and will be looking to build on his momentum from his junior year. <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13101827/Malachi-Coleman">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13101827/Malachi-Coleman</a> &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="227001" first="Tre’Vionne" last="Brown"] | Omaha North | Jr | 5’9"  160lbs Brown will have to fill the shoes of, arguably, the most explosive wide receiver in the state last year, [player_tooltip player_id="164281" first="Keshaun" last="Williams"]. Williams had over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns, including huge games against the biggest opponents they faced last year. Brown is super quick off the line and gets down field in a hurry. He averaged over 33 yards per catch last year with 5 total touchdowns. His size and speed are Tyreek Hill vibes, and he can be a factor on end arounds as well.
