The class of 2025 were only freshmen last season. That didn't stop some guys from standing out and putting themselves on the radar. These are the top standouts from the class of 2025.
Iverson Howard (2025) | 5'11 RB | Quince Orchard
Howard may already be the best ball carrier in Montgomery County. He already has an offer from West Virginia and expect the power 5 offers to continue to pile in. He has great speed that leads to a lot of breakaway runs. He runs hard and breaks weak tackles. He is very elusive in open space and is extremely hard to bring down one on one. He is a big-play threat every time he touches the ball. Expect Howard to put up big numbers this season.
Michael Cooley (2025) | 6'1 LB | Damascus
Cooley has the potential to be an all-county player this year. He has great instincts and is quick to diagnose plays. He is quick to react and shoots gaps well. He is a very good tackler and delivers some big hits. He is also athletic enough to get out to the flats in pass coverage. Cooley is a very solid backer and will only get better with time.
Evan Miller (2025) | 6'5 DL | Gaithersburg
Miller is a massive defensive tackle. He is 6'5 and 360 pounds. He uses his size to plug holes and play his gap. He needs to improve on his pad level and his ability to get off blocks but if he is able to improve on those things he can become one of the better run-stopping tackles in the county.
Lincoln Wendel (2025) | LB | Springbrook
Wendel is one of the most underrated players in the county. He is a candidate to have a huge breakout season. He is very good in pursuit and seems to take great angles when pursuing ball carriers. He also has sideline to sideline range. He does a great job of slipping blocks. He is also a very sound tackler and limits yards after contact. Wendel will look to have a big breakout year.
Noah Fosten (2025) | 6'1 T | Damascus
Fosten is a young player with a very high ceiling. He does a great job of run blocking. He turns defenders away from the ball carrier and drives them off the ball. He also finishes off his blocks. Fosten will likely get more opportunities next year and expect him to make the most of it.
