Central Ohio had an outstanding season on the recruiting front. Prep Redzone has updated the 2022 rankings heading into the winter home stretch.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Pickerington North</strong></span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34471" first="Blake" last="Bennett"] </strong>LB (Uncommitted, Top 150 in Ohio) - Blake had a really good season on a very talented team. He is a big player at 6’1 and 220 pounds. He moves really well inside the box and gets to and through his gap with power. Reads plays well and is always in the right spot to take on blocks. Blitzes with tenacity and has two good pass rush moves. He closes on routes quickly and plays tough on the receivers across the underneath zones.
<span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Marysville</strong></span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91503" first="Ben" last="Bickerstaff"]</strong> DL (Uncommitted, Top 150 in Ohio) - Ben had a great season from the DE position this fall. Comes off with a flat back and gets after it. He takes on blocks well with his hands and gets to lockout. High motor player with a good edge rush. He is quick to the ball away from him and really pursues the ball carriers with good speed.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Columbus Briggs</span></strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="146567" first="Tajh" last="Bowers"]</strong> QB (Uncommitted, Top 150 in Ohio) - Tajh is a dynamic athlete with a good arm and speed. He makes good throws at all three levels. He fits the ball into tight windows with velocity. He is a dual threat and can hurt you with his legs. Tajh is a good player to take a chance on.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Dublin Scioto</span></strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117449" first="Tyler" last="Boze"]</strong> WR (Uncommitted, Top 150 in Ohio) - Tyler is a good football player with great catch radius and leaping ability. He runs great routes and gets to the soft spots in the zones quickly. He is fast enough to take the top off the defense and wins on most bad balls. He is a good blocker on the perimeter and sets the tone for the offense.
<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Olentangy Liberty</span></strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120184" first="Chase" last="Brecht"]</strong> WR (Uncommitted, Top 150 in Ohio) - Chase is an outstanding threat from the receiver position. He is fast, athletic, and twitchy. He commands the coverage on the outside. He gets open in tight windows and always catches the bad balls. Can take the top off and score every time he touches the ball. He is very good at perimeter blocking and is tenacious.
