Once again, the football season has just flown by. Several weeks removed from the final football games of the 2021 season, we continue our postseason coverage. Yesterday, we announced <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2022/01/player-of-the-year-erik-mccarty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>McAlester running back [player_tooltip player_id="91049" first="Erik" last="McCarty"] as our 2021 Prep Redzone Oklahoma Player Of The Year</strong></a>. Tonight, we announce the second ever All State 1st Team selections. These are the absolute best football players in the state of Oklahoma. We went over stats, film and received submissions from coaches across Oklahoma to make these selections. On this year's 1st team, we have 27 total players and 5 of them are juniors. 7 of the selections were All State 1st Team selections a year ago. On Thursday, we'll announce the All State 2nd Team selections.
