Justin Scott Justin Scott 6'5" | 315 lbs | DL St. Ignatius | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Scott was a new name to me heading into this fall season and one that ended up gaining a lot of attention before the season was even over. Now that it’s in the off season, we’re seeing this young man rack up offers left and right. I wasn’t able to get a chance to scout this young man in person during this past season but after analyzing his full season highlights it’s evident why he’s getting his well deserved attention. He’s projected as a run stopping 1 tech at the next level, I can also see him being utilized as a 2 tech as well. This young man does a good job of clogging up the interior running lanes as he is able to take up two blocks keeping his linebackers free to flow to the ball. He can work gap to gap where he disengages blocks to make the tackle at/near the line of scrimmage for no/little gain on the play. This young man has the ability to disrupt plays in the backfield utilizing his use of hands at the point of attack batting hands down and shedding blocks to meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage as well as in the backfield. What’s most impressive about this young man is his ability to work laterally when flowing to the ball. He moves very well when doing so as he takes pursuit angles to make the tackle on the perimeter as well as downfield (you don’t see this that often out of interior defensive lineman). This goes hand in hand with his ability to finish through the whistle where he rallies to the ball and doesn’t give up on plays. On passing downs, he’s able to get his hands up at the line of scrimmage to cloud the throwing lane which results in passes being batted down resulting in incomplete passes. I believe he has a good foundational skill set as he gets ready to head into his senior season campaign, upon being able to develop his pass rush further he’ll become even more dominant than he currently is – in my opinion. Currently holds a handful of P5 Offers. Highlights
KJ Parker KJ Parker 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH IC Catholic Prep | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Parker was a name I had on my radar heading into this fall season and one that rose his stock early on in the regular season. I got the chance to scout this young man in person during his last regular season game and he was impressive. He’s listed as an ATH because he’s projected to have the ability to play either reciever or defensive back at the next level. At receiver, he’s projected as an X receiver that can hold his own one on one and can win over the top with his speed. He’s quick off the line of scrimmage where he can stack the defender before breaking him off at the top of the route creating separation on the play. Upon doing so, he can play above the rim by attacking the ball at the highest point coming away with the contested catch. At defensive back, he’s projected to be more of a coverage safety that uses his smooth and fluid transitions to make a play on the ball. This happens in both man coverage as well as in zone coverage where he uses his good eyes to diagnose the play quickly to take a good break on the ball. The result is him either undercutting the route to come away with the interception or jump the route to force a pass breakup. On deep shots downfield, he stays on the receiver’s hip pocket limiting the chances of him being broken off at the top of the route and goes up for 50/50 balls where he can attack the ball at the highest point coming away with the interception or forcing the pass breakup as well. His ability to cover sideline to sideline is what’s most impressive in my eyes as it seems as if the receiver is open but then all of a sudden this young man covers ground quickly to be in a position to make a play on the ball. All in all, as this young man continues to hone his craft and develop his skill set further he’s just going to become more dominant on both sides of the ball. Currently holds 2 FBS Offers, I expect this to rise into double digits before it’s all said and done. Highlights
Cam Williams Cam Williams 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Glenbard South | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Williams was a name that was on my radar heading into this fall season and one that has a great connection with fellow 24′ QB Michael Champagne Michael Champagne 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Glenbard South | 2024 State IL . He’s projected as an X receiver at the next level that can hold his own one on one and can be a big redzone target. This young man is quick off the line of scrimmage where he uses his step advantage to stack before breaking the defender off at the top of the route creating separation on the play. If you give him a free release and don’t try to slow down his route he’s going to win over the top with his speed and when he runs jet sweeps out of the slot he uses his lateral quickness to turn the corner. On deep shots downfield, he isn’t afraid to go up for 50/50 balls where he attacks the ball at the highest point to come away with the contested catch. What’s impressive is his ability to use his toe tap to secure sideline grabs as at times he just barely gets his foot down before falling out of bounds. This young man also has a good understanding of spacing where he can find the soft spot in zone coverage and sit to become an outlet for his quarterback. Upon securing the catch, he gets vertical while weaving in and out of defenders to increase his yards after the catch. In the run game, he stalk blocks downfield where he latches on quickly and keeps his feet driving through the whistle giving his teammate a block in open space. I believe the best is yet to come from this young man as that connection with Michael Champagne Michael Champagne 5'10" | 160 lbs | QB Glenbard South | 2024 State IL continues to grow and he continues to hone his craft. Currently holds a few FBS Offers. Highlights
Blayne Sisson Blayne Sisson 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Mt. Carmel | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Sisson was a name that’s been on my radar and one that was very impressive this last season switching positions from receiver to quarterback. His production as a quarterback as well as his production as a receiver during his freshman season on varsity gets this young man labeled as an ATH. I believe he has the ability to play either position at the next level either as a dual threat quarterback or as an X receiver. As a quarterback he uses his receiver skill set to make something of nothing, this is seen when the play gets broken down yet this young man evades defenders and comes away with net positive yardage on the play. When working in platform, he can get the ball off under pressure and add a touch on the deep ball when making level 3 throws. When he works out of platform, he evades pocket pressure and can pull the ball down to scramble. When doing so, he showcases his elusiveness by making defenders miss in open space while he weaves in and out of defenders utilizing his next level gear to outrun pursuit angles as well as blow by 2nd level defenders. Translate this over to when he was at receiver, he can go up for 50/50 balls as he attacks the ball at the highest point to come away with contested catches downfield. He’s quick off the line of scrimmage where he can stack before breaking the defender off at the top of the route creating separation on the play. I’m curious to see how he’s going to be utilized moving forward, definitely a name to keep an eye on moving forward. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
Alessio Milivojevic Alessio Milivojevic 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB St. Francis | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Milivojevic was a name on my radar heading into this fall season and one that I got to not only scout in person this season but also scout in person last season as well, his growth is one to keep an eye on. He’s projected more as a pro style quarterback at the next level that can pull the ball down to scramble if need be. When working in platform, he can navigate the pocket well where he gets the ball off under pressure and adds a touch on the deep ball. When he’s working out of platform, he escapes pocket pressure and keeps his eyes downfield surveying the field to find an outlet that keeps the chains moving. If he can’t find an outlet, this young man can pull the ball down to scramble. He can add easy velocity across all level throws (level 1, level 2, and level 3) while working both in platform and out of platform. When he’s throwing on the run, his upper/lower half are working in unison while he flips his hips to add extra velocity on the ball. What I’m most impressed with is his arm strength as it has continued to improve over these last two seasons, one of his traits to keep an eye on moving forward. I believe the best is yet to come for this young man as he has untapped potential yet to come to light and he’s prone to have a strong Junior Season Campaign. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
Troyer Carlson Troyer Carlson 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Kaneland | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Carlson was a name on my radar heading into this fall season and one that I was keeping a close eye on. I didn’t get the chance to scout this young man in person but I was able to analyze his full season highlights and compare it to his previous season to see his growth. He’s projected as a pro style quarterback at the next level that has showcased a good foundational skill set in his first two seasons. When working in platform, he navigates the pocket where he can climb to get the ball off under pressure and adds a touch on the deep ball. When working out of platform, he escapes the pocket pressure where he keeps his eyes downfield finding an outlet to keep the chains moving as his upper/lower half work in unison when throwing on the run. This young man can also add easy velocity across all level throws (level 1, level 2, and level 3) while working both in platform and out of platform. What I’m interested to see out of this young man is how he develops during this full off season, he has untapped potential yet to come to light and I look forward to continuing to watch him develop. Antonio Russell Antonio Russell 6'0" | 170 lbs | WR Eisenhower | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Russell was a name on my radar heading into the fall season and one that, in my eyes, has a very high upside. I wasn’t able to scout this young man in person but I was able to analyze his full season highlights and compare his growth from the previous season. He’s projected as an X receiver at the next level that can hold his own one on one. I would be interested to see if he’ll work out of the slot at times on situational packages as he can create a mismatch against the linebacker. He’s quick off the line of scrimmage which he uses to stack the defender before breaking the defender off at the top of the route creating separation on the play. Upon doing so, he isn’t afraid to go up for 50/50 balls and attacks the ball at the highest point to come away with the contested catch. What’s impressive about this young man is his ability to utilize his toe tap to secure the side endzone TD grabs, a trait to keep an eye on moving forward. Upon securing the catch, he gets vertical quickly and showcase shis elusivenss by making the first defender miss in open space. I believe this young man can also get used in the return game at the next level where he can make his impact felt further. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
Nick Day Nick Day 5'9" | 205 lbs | RB Antioch | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Day was a newer name to me heading into the fall season and one that came onto my radar towards the end of the season. I was impressed after analyzing his full season highlights and believe he has untapped potential yet to come to light. He’s projected as a power back at the next level that constantly fights for extra yards. This young man has the vision to find running lanes quickly between the tackles where he can burst through the line of scrimmage. Upon doing so, he maintains a low center of gravity as he keeps his feet driving and breaks weak arm tackles in the process. If the defense overpursues, this young man can fund the cutback lane and hit it using a quick cut generating net positive yards on the play. I am very interested to see how this young man develops during this regular off season as he has showcased glimpses of what he’s capable of. I believe he has such a high upside, pair this with his aggressive running style and his untapped potential you get a young man that is one to keep an eye on moving forward. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
Porter Mihelich Porter Mihelich 6'1" | 270 lbs | DL Burlington Central | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Mihelich was a name I had on my radar heading into this fall season and one that I’ve been keeping tabs on. I didn’t get the chance to scout this young man in person during the fall season but I was able to analyze his full season highlights as well as compare it to where he was at last season to see his growth. He’s projected as a run stopping lineman working out of a 1 tech, a 3 tech, and as a 7 tech. He works gap to gap where he can disengage blocks to make the tackle at/near the line of scrimmage for no/little gain on the play. What’s most impressive about this young man is how he can slip blocks by using his hands at the point of attack. Pair this with his quick first step and you get a versatile lineman that can stop the run. Upon doing so, he’s able to disrupt plays in the backfield off the penetration he generates as he can come away with tackles for loss as well as meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain. On passing downs, he’ll work out of a 7 tech where he can use his quick first step to close space between him and the offensive tackle before bating hands down to turn the corner generating pressure on the quarterback off the edge. What I’m most interested in about this young man is how he fills out his frame heading into his Junior Season campaign as I believe he has room to add to his frame without losing a step. I believe once he’s able to consistently make his impact felt during his pass rush he’ll become a well rounded prospect given his current foundational skill set. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
Aric Johnson Aric Johnson 6'0" | 190 lbs | WR Kaneland | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Johnson was a name I had on my radar heading into the fall season and one that is in a prime position to make a name for himself heading into his Junior Season campaign. I didn’t get a chance to scout this young man in person but I was able to analyze his full season highlights and compare it to where he was at during his previous season. He’s projected as a slot receiver at the next level, I also believe he can work as an X receiver working one on one. This young man creates a mismatch against linebackers when he’s working out of the slot as he’s quick off the line of scrimmage. He uses this to get to the defender’s toes before stacking and breaking the defender off at the top of the route creating separation on the play. If you give this young man a free release he can stem his seam route outside and cut in back in to win over the top. This young man can make the catch in traffic and has a good understanding of spacing where he can find the soft spot in zone coverage where he’ll sit to become an outlet for his quarterback. He can also layout to secure the catch. In the return game, he weaves in and out of defenders while he changes his gears quickly where he sets his team up in good starting field position as well as having the ability to return them for touchdowns. I’m interested to see how this young man develops during the off season as he gets ready for his Junior Season campaign. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
