The 6’1, 260 lbs defensive lineman from Burlington Central dominates the line of scrimmage in multiple ways. Mihelich plays in multiple techniques on the defensive line and projects as a defensive tackle at the next level. He plays with strong technique and hands that allow Mihelich to get pentration in the backfield. He can shed blockers easily, spill pulling offensive linemen, and finish on the running back for multiple tackle for loss. Additionally, Mihelich showcases solid technique and a high motor when rushing the passer. He retraces his steps well when the opposing quarterback steps up in the pocket. Porter caught my eyes over and over. It seemed like he found a way to stand out in every drill and the one on one battles. The 6’1″ 256 lbs DT is a compact, powerful interior defensive lineman. In the short area, Porter has the burst needed to succeed at the next level. It showed up in his 5.06 pro agility and 1.71 10 yard split. However, it was the strength that stood out in the one on one battles. Porter has the upper body strength needed to control and redirect IOL. He demonstrated an impressive push-pull that easily defeated the block of the OL. He also proved that he knows how to use leverage to get under OL and walk them off the line. It was a good day for the Burlington Central junior.
