[player_tooltip player_id="34392" first="Te’Sean" last="Smoot"] (Springfield) faced a stingy Marysville defense that had given up double digit points only 3 times this season. [player_tooltip player_id="34392" first="Te’Sean" last="Smoot"] lead the Wildcat offense to 27. Smoot was 26-37 for 363 yards and 2 TD’s. He added 44 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Smoot is just a gamer and a leader at quarterback. When it comes to tools he has the complete bag. He's a skilled passer, he can hurt if you lose contain, and he's tough as nails.

He caught 2 balls for 49 yards. He had a 40 yard kickoff return. He also added a run for 10 yards. The speedster who’s committed to West Virginia is such a difficult matchup due to the great acceleration and raw speed. I’m excited to see how he matches up against the speed of Springfield’s defense in the state semifinals on Friday.
2023 Daylen "Day Day" Bradley (Springfield) was Smoot’s favorite target. Bradley had 10 catches for 155 yards a touchdown. "Day Day" is an explosive receiver that is skilled at getting open.
2022 TyRek Spikes (Winton Woods) is an explosive, hardnosed, and shifty running back that just makes plays. Friday night he made a lot of them as he ran, and ran, and ran some more on his way to a 28 carry 230 yard and 4 TD night against the Piqua Indians.

2024 Jordan Marshall (Moeller) is just a sophomore, but you wouldn’t know it when you watch him run. Marshall has a good combo of size and athleticism, but when you watch him, you see his patience and tempo finding his running lanes. Marshall ran the ball 19 times for 123 yards and a touchdown. He also added a receiving TD.
[player_tooltip player_id="34385" first="Alex" last="Afari"] (Lakota West) did on both sides of the ball. On offense he had 5 catches for 89 yard and a big 37 yard TD. On defense he led the Crusaders with nine tackles and had several PBUs. Afari is just an imposing player, as he’s every big of 6’3 and probably 200 pounds. His combo of size, quick twitch, and strength are very impressive and why the Kentucky Wildcats have to be really excited to get this young man down to Lexington.

2023 Drew Novak (Western Brown) capped off a huge Junior season with more of the same. Throwing for 383 yards and 4 TD’s (3 INT’s) and running for 134 yards and 2 TD’s. Novak is 6’6 200 pounds. He’s a great distributor of the ball in the Broncos offense. I saw him live at a camp in the summer and he has an impressive arm. This offseason will be big for him from a recruiting perspective.
