Massillon Washington vs Westerville South Offensive Game Report

This was the second year in a row these two foes squared off in the second round of the playoffs. Washington got the best of South 50 - 19 this year. Massillon Washington #22 Freddie Lenix RB (2023) - Freddie is a converted WR who has been at RB the past 6 games and continued his dominance of opponents. He is very athletic and very twitchy. He has a burst in between the tackles and gets into the secondary quickly. He has open field wiggle and does a great job of shaking defenders. He can run you over or wiggle past with relative ease. Freddie is next level talent and can’t be missed. #75 Toddrick Lee OL (2022) - Toddrick is a really good player with good flexibility and twitch. He is a very good run blocker with good use of technique. Comes off the ball with wide base and does a great job driving his feet and hands up and through defenders. He finishes every block with aggression. Very good pass posture and powerful punch in the pass game. He is a good technician in the pass game and uses his punch to his advantage. Westerville South #16 Dominic Birtha QB (2024) - Had a great game last night and the sky is the limit for this sophomore. He throws on time and with accuracy. He has command of the offense and does a good job of getting everyone on the same page. Goes through his progressions well and spreads the ball around. He is an athletic runner with the ability to hurt you with his feet. Going to be great for years to come here in Central Ohio. #21 Nasir Phillips RB (2024) - Nasir is great player for the Wildcats and will rise up the recruiting ranks over the next two seasons. He is very fast and can score everytime he touches the ball. He is very twitchy and has lots of wiggle in the open field. He is a 1 cut runner with burst through the gaps. He is utilized in all facets of the offense due to his abilities. #2 [player_tooltip player_id="34379" first="Kaden" last="Saunders"] WR (2022) - Kaden is one of the best players in the state and showed it again last night. He is committed to PSU and will be a next level talent in college. He has the ability to play on Sundays. He is fast, runs great routes, and can score everytime he touches the ball. He goes up and gets the 50/50 balls and wins routinely. Excited to see his play next fall in the Big 10.
