San Pedro vs. Birmingham
Analysis: Birmingham is more than just its star player [player_tooltip player_id="25318" first="Arlis" last="Boardingham"]. He will be the best player in this game, Delamonte Barnes is an underrated two-way star that will have a huge impact on this game. San Pedro’s defense had three interceptions in the semifinals against Palisades. Aidan Jackson is a quality quarterback and San Pedro has some size. Birmingham has only allowed 13 points in its last 7 games.

Mater Dei vs. Servite
Analysis: I previewed this game in more detail in this piece for Prep Redzone. If [player_tooltip player_id="25225" first="Raleek" last="Brown"] is able to have another big game, it makes the job for [player_tooltip player_id="147708" first="Elijah" last="Brown"] easier. Servite ran the ball and deployed [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"] in the ground game against St. John Bosco, but nobody has been able to run the ball on Mater Dei. Mater Dei has a looming scandal on its mind but the players may use that to unite in an "us against the world" type of scenario.
The pick: Mater Dei

Division 2 Championship
Orange Lutheran vs. Alemany
Analysis: Alemany has the star power advantage in this game. [player_tooltip player_id="25290" first="Floyd" last="Chalk"] is one of the best running backs in the state and [player_tooltip player_id="25262" first="Jaylen" last="Thompson"] isn’t too far behind. [player_tooltip player_id="25231" first="Niuafe" last="Tuihalamaka"] is the best defensive player in this game and [player_tooltip player_id="25237" first="Ephesians" last="Prysock"] will make an impact. Orange Lutheran is no stranger to teams with star power having played against Mater Dei, Servite and St. John Bosco. [player_tooltip player_id="25295" first="Logan" last="Gonzalez"] is the better quarterback in this game. I think Orange Lutheran isn’t good enough in the front seven to stop Alemany’s running game.

Division 4 Championship
Long Beach Poly vs. St. Francis
Analysis: The fact is that Poly was seeded incorrectly and should be in Division 2 or 3. They have blown through the playoffs and have had running clocks the past two weeks. Devin Samples ran the ball well against Cypress and [player_tooltip player_id="25344" first="Shea" last="Kuykendall"] threw the ball well against Upland. Poly is big and fast on defense with [player_tooltip player_id="142004" first="Wendell" last="Moe"], [player_tooltip player_id="141923" first="Donovan" last="Poe"], Jalen Johnson and [player_tooltip player_id="144960" first="Daylen" last="Austin"]. St. Francis has star running back [player_tooltip player_id="25271" first="Max" last="Garrison"] and a quality quarterback in [player_tooltip player_id="25393" first="Jack" last="Jacobs"]. Jacobs will be asked to do a lot in this game. This will not be a blowout like the other Division 4 games, but Poly is just too good for this division.

Division 1 Championship
Lincoln vs. Helix
Analysis: These are two of the best teams in the area and are loaded with athletes. Lincoln is a nice dual threat team on offense with quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="42800" first="Jalen" last="Daniels"] and running back [player_tooltip player_id="145173" first="Roderick" last="Robinson II"]. They have the best cornerback duo in the state with [player_tooltip player_id="141879" first="Jahlil" last="Florence"] and [player_tooltip player_id="25238" first="Jalil" last="Tucker"]. Helix has reached 7 consecutive championship games. Ryland Jesse has been playing well at quarterback and [player_tooltip player_id="25345" first="Christian" last="Washington"] at running back. These teams have similar styles. Helix is more experienced in big games but Lincoln has the more talented roster.
The pick: Lincoln
