In the Division 1 semi final last night you saw Upper Arlington jump out to a 10-7 halftime lead. The game seemed to be in hand until St. Ed’s ripped off 9 points in the second half to move on 16-10.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="120187" first="Carter" last="Brock"]</strong> LB, Upper Arlington (2022) - Carter had a monster game on Friday. He is very hard to block and possesses very good technique. He gets after the ball carriers and is a great tackler. He is very skilled in his pass drops and closes the space quickly. He is really adept and maintaining gap control and sheds blockers with ease. Next level talent for sure.
<strong>Doak Buttermore</strong> DB, Upper Arlington (2022) - Doak had an great night and he showed why he is one of the best players in Central Ohio. Finished the game with 15 solo tackles. He does a tremendous job of commanding the defense from the safety position. He is really fast and triggers downhill very quickly. He gets after the ball carriers on inside and outside run. Takes on blocks well and sheds easily. He is very talented in pass coverage and can play equally well in zone and man schemes.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189509" first="Michael" last="Kilbane"]</strong> OLB, St. Edward (2022) - Mike has 5 Division 1 offers and more should be coming after his performances this post season. He is a monster on the edge with the size, speed, power, and technique to be a special player on Saturday’s next fall. Does a great job in the open field with his tackling ability. He is a really powerful and gets to extension quickly. He reads plays very well. He is a relentless in his pass rush and routinely is in the QB’s face. Don’t miss out on him.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="187505" first="Joel" last="Castleberry"]</strong> CB, St. Edward (2022) - Joel has a couple of Division 1 offers. He runs a 4.4 40 yard dash and has really good technique from the corner position. He can play man and zone equally well. He stays on top of the receivers and transitions to break up quickly. He is a good man corner and it is hard to shake him. He is a very good tackler and tough due to his size for the position. More offers should be headed his way this off season.
