As we wrap up all the action from Week 9 here in Tennessee, we look back at the top performers from another great week of high school football. East Tennessee (TE) Carson Yates Carson Yates 6'4" | 220 lbs | TE Baylor School | 2022 State TN - Baylor …#EastTN22 * 6 rec. for 220 yds & 3 TD's * - Yates has been on fire over the past several weeks, putting up huge numbers, including last week in the Red Raiders hard fought win over Hendersonville. This MTSU baseball commit has shown this senior season why he is equally as talented on the gridiron as he is on the diamond and should be receiving more looks from collegiate football coaches. Look for Yates to continue to put up big numbers going forward as he looks to be the go to guy on offense and quarterbacks current favorite target. Middle Tennessee (QB) Luther Richesson Luther Richesson 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB Lipscomb Academy | 2022 State TN - Lipscomb Academy …#MidTN22 * 20-20 passing for 316 yds & 6 TD's * - What much is there to say about Richesson and his performance last Friday. His numbers speak for themselves and these are the kind of stats that Richesson has been putting up on a consistent basis each and every week. The Mustangs senior signal caller has performed so well this year that he is in line for Mr. Football honors and a shot on the D1, Power Five level in college football. West Tennessee (RB) Khalik Ganaway Khalik Ganaway 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB Peabody | 2022 State TN - Peabody …#WestTN22 * 13 carr. for 232 yds & 5 TD's; 1 rec, 33 yds & 1 TD * - Ganaway has been a star for the last two years, so last Friday's performance is of no surprise but it's yet another strong outing from one of the best running backs in this state. Ganaway can produce in a variety of ways and he uses his size to slip and slide his way around defenders with ease. His Golden Tide is also on pace for yet another state title and if that becomes true, Ganaway will be the key cog leading them there.
