We are just past the halfway point in the 2021 regular season and there has been some great football from the Division 3 schools which consist of many talented players on both sides of the ball. Here are five great games to watch in week 6 featuring Division 3 schools.
Chardon vs Kenston
In week 6, two powerhouses from Division 3 will play each other. The Chardon Hilltoppers and the Kenston Bombers. The Hilltoppers are currently ranked #1 in Division 3 according to maxpreps and they are undefeated at 5-0. Last week they defeated Mayfield 41-7. They have averaged 35 points per game on offense and have given up 11 points per game on defense. The Bombers like the Hilltoppers are also undefeated at 5-0 and have looked very impressive as well this season. Last week, they defeated Lake Catholic 27-20. They have averaged 31 points per game on offense while giving up 13.8 points per game on defense. Streetsboro vs Norton
This week, the Streetsboro Rockets will play the Norton Panthers. The Rockets are currently undefeated at 5-0 and last week they defeated Ravenna 41-17. This season, they have averaged an impressive 53.25 points per game on offense while giving up 22 points per game on defense. The Panthers are also currently undefeated at 5-0 and last week they defeated Woodridge 14-7. They have averaged 27 points per game on offense and have given up 9.6 points per game on defense. The player from the Prep Redzone rankings who will be playing in this game is TE [player_tooltip player_id="34423" first="Hunter" last="Hopperton"] from Streetsboro. Aurora vs Tallmadge
On Friday night, the Aurora Greenmen will play the Tallmadge Blue Devils. The Greenmen are currently undefeated at 5-0 and last week they defeated Cuyahoga Falls 63-0. This season they have averaged 45.8 points per game on offense and have given up 9.6 points per game on defense. The Blue Devils are currently 4-1 and last week they defeated Revere 27-7. They have averaged 32 points per game on offense and have given up 16.8 points per game on defense this season. The player from the Prep Red Zone Rankings who will be playing in this game is QB [player_tooltip player_id="34460" first="Alex" last="Moore"] from Aurora. Some players to watch from Tallmadge are WR/DB Mason Dexter and QB Ty Hurst.
Bishop Hartley vs St. Francis DeSales
On Friday night, the Bishop Hartley Hawks will play the St. Francis DeSales Stallions. The Hawks are currently 3-2 and last week, they defeated Norwalk 34-21. This season, they have averaged 35.6 points per game on offense and have given up 31.2 points per game on defense. The Stallions are currently 2-3 and last week they defeated Buchtel 44-14. This season, they have averaged 27.6 points per game on offense and have given up 19.2 points per game on defense. This week, the Rocky RIver Pirates will play the Bay Rockets. The Pirates are currently 3-2 and last week they Elyria Catholic 21-20. This season, they have averaged 33 points per game on offense and have given up 21.8 points per game on defense. The Rockets are currently 3-1 and last week they defeated Westlake 21-7. This season, they have averaged 19 points per game on offense and have given up 16.5 points per game on defense.
