Thursday Night Standouts: Arcanum vs. Ansonia

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Thursday Night Lights Game Recap: Arcanum’s talent on the Depth Chart just overwhelmed the Ansonia Tigers in the second half of a game that was hard-fought by both teams. The players that brought their best game are as follows: </span> <b>Arcanum:</b> <b>Brennen Troutwine 5’10 145 lbs. ℅ 22.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Troutwine got it done on both sides of the ball last night. He kicked off the scoring in the first quarter catching a pass and going 26 yards for a touchdown. Brennen would finish the game with 12 catches for 95 yards and the touchdown. Getting open wasn’t a problem for Troutwine. Route running technique put him in a position to make catch after catch. </span> <b>[player_tooltip player_id="159933" first="Bryce" last="Schondelmyer"] 6’2 195 lbs. ℅ 23.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Schondelmyer turned in another great performance Thursday leading his team to 4-0 Start defeating Ansonia 30-14. Bryce completed 23 of 39 passing attempts for 326 yards 3 touchdowns 0 interceptions. He also contributed 1 touchdown on the ground. The offense is averaging 41 points per game and Schondelmyer is the conductor of the machine. </span> <b>Zade Shank 5’10 155 lbs. ℅ 23.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Shank is sneaky fast. He gradually runs by defenders. Possesses natural hands. Catches and immediately gets upfield. Runs through arm tackles routinely. Shank caught 4 balls for 92 yards and 1 touchdown(averaged 23.0 yards per catch) Thursday night. His touchdown was on a catch and run for 60 yards. Shank also rushes the ball for the Trojans.  </span> <b>Ansonia:</b> <b>Ian Schmittmeyer QB 6’1 175 lbs. ℅ 23.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The Ansonia Quarterback was held to 42 yards passing. All night the Trojan Defense smothered the Arcanum offense. Schmittmeyer completed 6 of 15 passing attempts for only 42 yards. He rushed the ball 2 times for 2 yards. Schmittmeyer was never able to get comfortable in the pocket. </span> <b>Peyton Beam 6’2 200 lbs. ℅ 22.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The lead back for the Tigers played a great game Thursday night. Unfortunately, His teammates were unable to meet the challenge. Beam is the WOAC rushing leader and registered 167 yards on 29 attempts.(average of 5.8 yards per carry) and 2 touchdowns. Beam got off to a fast start sprinting 67 yards for the first score. However, The Arcanum Trojans tightened their grip and the running back was only able to achieve one other touchdown for the night. </span> <b>Keegan Weiss 5’10 175 lbs. ℅ 24.</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Weiss is an undersized linebacker but has a motor and plays through the whistle. Has decent instincts and works his way to the football. Weiss totaled 14 Tackles( 9 assists and 5 solo ). Keegan is also the Western Ohio Athletic Conference leader in Total Tackles with 54 Total (39 Assists and 15 Solo). </span> &nbsp;
