Huntley’s season record: 21-10
Helix vs. Servite
Analysis: This is the Bally Sports game of the week but I think it is a mismatch on paper. Helix is led by running back [player_tooltip player_id="25345" first="Christian" last="Washington"] and quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="115450" first="Ryland" last="Jessee"]. Receiver and corner [player_tooltip player_id="142012" first="Xavier" last="Van"] had a huge game last week with three interceptions. Servite is too good in the trenches to lose this game. [player_tooltip player_id="141891" first="Mason" last="Graham"] is having a fantastic senior season. [player_tooltip player_id="143131" first="Jacob" last="Manu"] and the Friar’s linebackers are quick enough to contain Washington. It’s hard to imagine who on Helix is going to cover [player_tooltip player_id="25227" first="Tetairoa" last="McMillan"], [player_tooltip player_id="25242" first="Keyan" last="Burnett"] or Mikey Welsh.

Lawndale vs. Alemany
Analysis: Alemany struggled offensively against Mission Viejo but the Diablos are an outstanding team. [player_tooltip player_id="25290" first="Floyd" last="Chalk"] has emerged as the top running back and [player_tooltip player_id="141912" first="Dylan" last="Gebbia"] was getting the majority of reps at quarterback, but [player_tooltip player_id="115460" first="Anthony" last="Wolter"] got some time last week. [player_tooltip player_id="25240" first="Kevin" last="Green"] Jr. is a great receiver and [player_tooltip player_id="25262" first="Jaylen" last="Thompson"] has been making plays in the passing game. [player_tooltip player_id="25307" first="Derek" last="Boyd"] is the playmaker for Lawndale and is one of the top players in Southern California. Seth Shigg is the rising freshman quarterback for the Cardinals. There are a lot of fun college prospects in this game, but Alemany has more of them.
The pick: Alemany
Mira Costa vs. Loyola
Analysis: This is a rivalry even though the schools are close to 20 miles apart. Loyola is a private school and a good portion of its student body lives near Manhattan Beach where Mira Costa is. [player_tooltip player_id="141919" first="Tahj" last="Owens"] is a star running back for Loyola with 10 touchdowns already this season. Baylin Brooks and Peter Vanis are the two leading receivers for quarterback Joe Tatum. [player_tooltip player_id="187247" first="Patrick" last="Sodl"] is one of the best defensive players in the state for Loyola. Casey Pavlick is Mira Costa’s quarterback and Don Morrow is one of the better coaches around. Loyola has dominated this matchup recently, winning at least six games in a row, but this is their first matchup since 2013.
The pick: Loyola

Inglewood vs. Palos Verdes
Analysis: Inglewood hasn’t played since September 3 due to COVID protocols and Palos Verdes has played one of the toughest schedules in Southern California. Luke Gayton is a very talented receiver for the Sea Kings and their defense is led by talented sophomores Jacob Reis and Cole Spanjol. Inglewood has star quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25247" first="Justyn" last="Martin"] and a ton of star power on defense like [player_tooltip player_id="25277" first="Marshon" last="Oxley"]. Inglewood is itching to get on the field and has too many stars.
The pick: Inglewood
Long Beach Poly vs. Millikan
Analysis: Poly has not lost a Moore League game on the field since 2009. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25344" first="Shea" last="Kuykendall"] has become the primary quarterback and running back Devin Samples is poised for a big game. [player_tooltip player_id="141923" first="Donovan" last="Poe"] is a dominant defensive player and [player_tooltip player_id="144960" first="Daylen" last="Austin"] is a lock down corner. Millikan has some college prospects like sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="115471" first="Ryan" last="Pellum"]. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="115449" first="Myles" last="Jackson"] will be asked to do a lot in this game. Poly should dominate this game but Millikan may give them the biggest challenge in the league.

Brentwood vs. Palisades
Analysis: These are two solid City Section teams with some stars. [player_tooltip player_id="147721" first="Boone" last="Lourd"] is a rising sophomore star quarterback for Brentwood and Luke Rotenberg is a good two-way player for the Eagles. Dylan Hassid is the quarterback for Palisades and Daniel Anoh is one of the top running backs in the City Section. Johnny Babala is the leader of the Palisades defense. Lourd is the best player in this game but Palisades is deeper.
The pick: Palisades
Vista Murrieta vs. Villa Park
Analysis: This is a fun Saturday day game. Vista Murrieta has two very good running backs with Gavin Galzote and Matthew Caldera. Tight end and defensive end [player_tooltip player_id="25235" first="Jack" last="Pedersen"] is always capable of a big play and is the most physically dominant player on the field. Villa Park has a great defense with Owen Duckworth, Arthur Orta and Kaden Baptiste, but Vista Murrieta is the best team Villa Park has faced this season. [player_tooltip player_id="143138" first="Nathan" last="Kornely"] is a solid quarterback for Villa Park and may have to throw a lot of passes if the Spartans have to play from behind. This will be a close game and may come down to who has the ball last.
The pick: Vista Murrieta
