The best thing about Thursdays is getting the opportunity to spotlight prospects from across the state.
While we bring you individual player information from across Florida here on this website and via our social media, we also stop in and check out regions – giving that part of the Sunshine State their slice of the recruiting exposure.
Today, we check in on Jacksonville as the #904 has some impressive talent that is ready for everyone to watch and appreciate.
2022 – Carmello Cooper, DE, 6-1, 230, Jacksonville Ribault. Has shown so far this season that he is one of the prospects who has flown beneath the radar screen. Make no mistake. He will flat get after you – with speed and a knack of just knowing what to do. Is also someone who can play tight end, but with his motor and football-playing speed, defense is truly where he belongs.

2022 – Dalton Hollingsworth, RB/S, Keystone Heights. At 6-2, 175, your first thought is he’s too tall to play running back, but maybe not. He has tremendous vision and a burst that gets him through the first wave of tackler. There is no reason not to have a versatile talent like that. One who can also catch the ball out of the backfield and play the slot position. He needs to be recognized!

2022 – Jamil Jones, DB, Glen St. Mary Baker County. Watch him play and the first thing you notice is he’s always around the ball and he is physical. The other thing that this gifted senior does well is get to the ball. When that ball is anywhere near him, he will grab it. Tremendous ball skills.

2023 – [player_tooltip player_id="128495" first="Antwon" last="McCrae"], WR, Jacksonville Westside. Ever since this past off-season, we talked about how gifted this young man was. This is truly a talent, who not only plays quarterback and safety, but has turned into one of the premier pass catchers in the region, as college coaches continue to watch him perform. Another solid prospect that makes this area very special.

2023 – Marcus Stokes, QB, Ponte Vedra Nease. Has very good arm strength, throws a tight short and medium ball – and continues to work on being consistent with his longer passes, but he can run, and that pretty much tells you how well this standout is doing this season – helping to raise everyone else’s game around him. This is a program that knows a thing about developing quarterbacks.
