Semaj J Morgan – WR – West Bloomfield High School – 5’10″ 175 lbs
Morgan is a natural WR. He has soft hands and is able to grasp everything he needs to about the position very easily. Morgan is a little more slender than you would like but it never affects his play. He’s all over the field and is used in the kick and punt return games. He has great short-area quickness and with a big year, he could put himself on the map and find himself some good offers to play college football.
Jameel Croft Jameel Croft 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Detroit King | 2023 State MI Jr – WR – Martin Luther King High School – 6’0″ 170 lbs
His weight may not be accurate. On his HUDL page, he’s listed at 170 but then his tape lists him at 180. Either way, he’s still somewhat skinny. His body doesn’t stop the fact that he is a playmaker. Anytime he touches the ball he’s always a threat to take it to the house. They use him in the screen game and he thrives there. He’s willing to let his body fly all over the place and take the hits he needs to in order to help his team win.
Kenny Merrieweather Kenny Merrieweather 6'3" | 245 lbs | DL Detroit King | 2023 State MI – WR – Martin Luther King High School – 6’3″ 235 lbs
Merrieweather is a big boy. He’s great at using his size to his advantage and they like to use him on the inside and outside. He’s great at those endzone jump balls and almost always comes down with it. Having Croft on the other side always seems to give him softer coverage than he would normally get because you have to account for both when you’re playing them. To have 2 star WRs in the same class is huge and it bodes well for them. They have separate skill sets and Merrieweather is best when you feed him when he has others draped all over him.
Javen Sewell Javen Sewell 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Cass Tech | 2023 State MI – WR – Cass Technical – 5’9″ 180 lbs
Sewell is a very good receiver. He’s a natural and has very soft hands. He’s always able to read the zone and get open and catch a ton of footballs. He’s willing to take a hit and fight over the middle of the field. He works hard and is a decent student. He’s always working and uploading clips to get more exposure. He has a bright future and with a good year could land some college offers.
Jaylen Johnson Jaylen Johnson 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Grand Blanc | 2023 State MI – WR – Grand Blanc High School – 6’2″ 185 lbs
Johnson is a very intriguing player because he has great size for his age and is always putting the work in. He’s got quick feet and strong hands. Grand Blanc uses him in the slot, out wide, and to clear the edge when they need him to. He’s always working and going to camps and working on his craft. He likes to get better because he understands how to use his body and wants to control it more in the air. He’s a 3-star recruit and has a few offers from some local schools. He has big dreams and works hard for them. Hopefully for him, he can make those happen as he heads into camp this week.
