While the No. 1 overall prospect remained the same — St. Louis University High wide receiver Ryan Wingo Ryan Wingo 6'2" | 200 lbs | WR St. Louis University High | 2024 State MO still holds the top spot — the next three prospects all made big jumps.
Liberty North middle linebacker Melvin Laster Melvin Laster 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Liberty North | 2024 State MO , a 6-foot-2, 230-pound man child, entered the rankings at No. 2 overall after an impressive two-month stretch this summer where he received scholarship offers from Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas State and Kansas.
St. Pius X (KC) defensive end Jayshawn Ross Jayshawn Ross 6'4" | 230 lbs | ATH Liberty North | 2024 State MO entered the rankings at No. 3 overall after receiving offers from Kansas State and Kansas. A 6-4, 220-pounder who also plays wide receiver, Ross racked up 60 tackles, six sacks, five tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries as a freshman.
CBC wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan Jeremiah McClellan 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR CBC | 2024 State MO (pictured) moved up from No. 15 to No. 4 after an offseason that included offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Arizona State, Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, Austin Peay, Indiana, Missouri and Iowa State. McClellan had two catches for 27 yards on the varsity level a year ago, while playing behind a three college-bound wide receivers, but he’ll get plenty of opportunities this fall.
Keelan Smith Keelan Smith 6'3" | 200 lbs | DB Liberty North | 2024 State MO , a 6-3, 200-pound safety and wide receiver, transferred to Liberty North from Bishop Miege in Kansas and enters the Missouri 2024 rankings at No. 8 overall. He’s a talented two-way player — he also plays wide receiver — with good, speed and athleticism and he’s joining a Liberty North squad that should be loaded with talent this fall, including Laster at middle linebacker.
Raymore-Peculiar standout sophomore Jaden Reddell Jaden Reddell 6'5" | 235 lbs | TE Raymore-Peculiar | 2024 State MO entered the rankings at No. 10 overall. A 6-4, 205-pounder, Reddell also plays baseball and basketball but excels as a bigger wide receiver with surprising speed. We made the decision to project Reddell as a tight end, where he is the No. 1 prospect at the position, because he looks a lot like new-age slot tight ends who have become more of a factor at the college and pro levels.
