Rank 1 : Gregory Hall RB #25 Sr.
Gregory was everywhere on the field, he is a leader for their team and has a burst of speed. Constantly making himself involved in every play, as a senior you can tell he wants to make the most of this season. Starting off strong, in his first game he scored 2 rushing TD’s with both coming off of strong inside blocking and fast acceleration by Hall. Juking and foot movement were there but sometimes led to his short runs getting stopped. Hall tries to get a lot done in each play which for this team isn’t a bad thing, as they won 21- 7 in their home opener.
Rank 2 : Chad Doogs T #59 Sr.
Doogs was also a very versatile and high endurance player. While he is not as loud as other players, Chad is almost always leading the way with exceptional blocking. On multiple occasions he would overwhelm and knock down other players, mostly while he was swinging in a power play. He isn’t the fastest guy but he sure isn’t the slowest, with his large frame he is always down field in front of the RB blocking. On passing plays his one – on – one ability was unmatched by North Bullitt, no sack came from his side. Most of all, he is consistent, he comes to play until 0:00 is on the clock.
Rank 3 : Ryder Gregory QB #6 Jr.
Playing exceptional while under pressure, Gregory was a major reason the running attack did so well. Gregory, like Hall, had some great blocking and when the pocket collapsed he would still throw completions and when the pocket completely collapsed he always knew when to start running, with only one sack getting him while he was unaware, his presence was almost perfect in Elizabethtown’s home opener. While I personally haven’t met Gregory he got me engaged in the game, always getting the crowd involved and was great at executing the plays, while North had 2 flags for play clock running out, Gregory and Ross Brown (Etowns Head Coach) were always on the line on time, and time to make some adjustments. Ryder is a great field general and not someone who relies on his feet as he throws lots of completions.
Rank 4 : Gavin Young C #56 Jr.
Gavin was the interior blocker and he was great at chipping one and keeping another from coming through. He did everything it took to give Ryder time to pass or transition the play into a run, anytime someone got through he’d continue to find someone else to block or help his guards. Great job at keeping himself busy on the inside and was always the one to give the last shove after a whistle. Very physical player with potential.
Rank 5 : Quentin Lepora #75 T Sr.
On the first TD of the game it was Quentin’s downfield block that secured the TD. Lepora is the biggest linemen on the field for the Panthers and he uses it best while in motion or blocking down field. Excellent at pushing one and moving up the next level to block another. Most successful runs tonight came behind Quentin or Doogs, in motion. If you need a big body who can block down field Lepora is a player to keep an eye on.
