Rank 1 : Chad Doogs DT #59 Sr.
Chad was the reason for many runs getting stopped short, and even a forced fumble. He is a consistent tackler and a true inside presence, with some serious power at times. Doogs was playing both sides of the ball and for someone playing lineman he had a lot of energy and never slowed down.
Rank 2 : Gregory Hall DE #25 Sr.
The D-Line for Elizabethtown was a huge reason they held North Bullitt to 7 Points in their opening weekend. Gregory was constantly keeping his teammates heads up, and was playing until the whistle. Gregory is clearly a well disciplined player who can only get better as his passion for playing and dominant fast paced playstyle is exactly the type of player you need at DE.
Rank 3 : Makaya Green OLB/CB #4 Jr.
Makaya is a good one-on-one specialist, he never got beat and had great game knowledge. For someone playing on the outside he was getting in on blitzes and any run he’d blow by the receiver supposed to be blocking him and assisting on tackles. Green also got involved on 2 passing plays his way, breaking them up. A third pass went over him and his receiver, Green would be higher had the QB thrown his way more, nonetheless great opening performance from this OLB/CB hybrid.
Rank 4 : Trey Durbin OLB #2 Jr.
Trey was able to cut outside and had a lot of success with open field tackling. Trey had patience with each play reading the QB and following the ball, and if the play ever got past the D-Line, it was mostly Durbin or Green cleaning it up. Durbin had limited success as his D-Line did a majority of the work in Week 1, but times Durbin was put in the position to make a play he never failed. Definitely a prospect to watch in future contests.
Rank 5 : Gavin Young DT/DE #56 Jr.
Gavin was helping his other team mates pressure the QB by splitting the middle of the pocket. Every play he comes off the line very hard, making ball carriers have to bounce around him or double team him. North Bullitt choose the latter, and Gavin was getting a good amount of the attention from the Eagles linemen. Still managed to plug holes and help pressure when he could, Young is a player we could see develop into a top prospect by the years end.
