No.14 RB Jahiem White Jahiem White 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB William Penn (York) | 2023 State PA | 5’9, 190 | William Penn (York)
White moved up nine spots in our ranking update for the class of 2023 moving from the No.23 spot all the way into our top-15 at No.14 White is also one of the most exciting players to watch in this class, White may only be 5-foot-9 but he’s a tall runner when needed and has good speed and burst. At a recent camp at Penn State, White posted a forty-yard dash time of 4.49.He shows really good lower body strength, as well as defenders, truly need to square him up to have the best chance of stopping him. Otherwise, he finds ways to stay on his feet thanks to some tremendous balance and athleticism. You can’t forget about his ability to change directions either, where he does a great job of making defenders miss and keeping defenders off-balance and guessing. White should be a player who sees his stock go up quite a bit this summer and fall heading into 2022.
No.17 Neco Eberhardt Neco Eberhardt 6'3" | 285 lbs | DL Aliquippa | 2023 State PA | 6’2, 285 | Aliquippa
Our next player up is defensive lineman Neco Everhardt who moved up three spots from No.20 to No.17 in our update. That makes him our No.4 defensive lineman overall but when projecting position to the next level, he’s our No.1 defensive tackle. At his size, it’s not shocking that Eberhardt is a strong player, but his athleticism and quickness could be deemed a bit of a surprise. He’s got a good first step and is quick to the point of attack. He’s really good at finding leverage as well in attempts to get by the opposing offensive line. When in the open field, he shows a good athletic ability to chase down opposing ball carriers in the backfield. He’s not easily thrown off by a change of direction either and often is able to stay on track when following a ball carrier. He’s only going to get better over the next few years and it’s going to be exciting to see how far he can continue to rise.
No.26 OL Michael Dincher Michael Dincher 6'2" | 300 lbs | OL State College | 2023 State PA | 6’0, 290 | State College
One of our biggest jumps in the entire class is from Dincher who jumped all the way from No.66 in our last rankings to No.26 in our newest rankings. Dincher was a dominating offensive lineman for State College, recording 72 pancakes in six games in 2020. He’s already got tremendous size and while he’ll need to manage that size to a point over the next few years, you love to love where he is physically already entering his junior season. He shows really good athleticism as well, with the ability to pull and get to his man. In pass protection, he shows solid feet and balances with being quick to the point of attack as well as gaining and maintaining leverage on opposing defensive linemen. Dincher is a really good offensive lineman overall and is someone who I can see continuing to rise in this class. He’s already garnered multiple FBS offers from Coastal Carolina, Bowling Green, and Old Dominion.
No.41 TE Peyton Faulkner Peyton Faulkner 6'4" | 230 lbs | ATH Avonworth | 2023 State PA | 6’4, 210 | Avonworth
Personally, I’m a big fan of Faulkner’s and think he has a bright future at the next level. A multi-sport athlete with basketball and football, he shows every bit of athleticism and explosiveness you would expect out of a high-caliber player in both sports. That being said, Faulkner’s future is on the gridiron, for the majority of his time at Avonworth, his success has of course come in the passing game as a receiver. As a receiver, he’s got consistently strong hands and has a really good catch radius with the ability to go up and make some tough catches. After the ball is in his hands, he shows a good burst and open field speed. As a pure receiving tight end, Faulkner has the chance to be a consistent playmaker at the next level. The biggest question for him going forward is how strong is his blocking abilities and how will they translate to the next level.
No.98 Jason McBride Jr. Jason McBride Jr. 6'2" | 300 lbs | DL Aliquippa | 2023 State PA | 6’3, 295 | Aliquippa
Our final player in our stock rankings for today is another Aliquippa standout in Jason McBride. He rose nearly 20 spots in our rankings going from No.117 to No.98. On that note, congrats to Jason and breaking in the top-100 prospects in the state in the class of 2023. McBride is a player we saw a really strong jump in terms of performance level on the field last season. For a player his size, he has really good athleticism and burst, often allowing him to get into the backfield quickly and get to the ball carriers. He’s got a really good motor as well, he doesn’t quit when chasing down opposing ball carriers whether their five yards away or 20-yards away, he has that hungry dog mentality, to say the least, and while that doesn’t always translate to success on the field, you can never have enough of those types of players on your team. McBride has a good first step and is good at getting to the point of attack, his ability to find leverage is solid but could more be more consistent, which will come in time. A lot of progress has been made for McBride last year and we expect another strong jump this upcoming season.
