A crucial cog in the Aliquippa machine. Aliquippa’s one of the more loaded rosters in all of Pennsylvania, so it makes sense if certain prospects get over-shadowed by others. I think that might be the case with Jason McBride. Equally as dominant inside the trenches as some of his counterparts. Equally as aggressive a finisher too. McBride alone can change the momentum of a game by almost single-handedly clogging lanes and stopping the run. He’s got the size and hand usage you like to see from interior prospects. McBride might have D1 potential.

Jason is sitting on 4 offers from Division 2 Clarion, Fairmont State, Lock Haven, and Walsh at the moment. The senior DL/OL has been receiving some D1 interest as well, but none have pulled the trigger on him. McBride moves well for his size and he displays a lot of hand violence. Quip’s senior lineman plays well off of blocks simultaneously using his hands well. His effort is substantial in pursuit and he’s an explosive hitter. McBride shows athletic ability with a good change of direction chasing ball carriers. His strength allows him to engage & disengage quickly in run pursuit. The 2023 prospect is productive and often makes plays behind the line of scrimmage. McBride has great game experience from playing in big games for the reigning 4A PA state champs.

Jason has an offer currently from Fairmont state & has been receiving a lot of Interest from the MAC. Jason plays well with his hands and is very productive as a defense lineman. He has good strength and makes plays in the backfield. Jason sometimes has the tendency to get too high out of his stance firing out, but he never gives up on the play. McBride also has invaluable experience on the field from playing late into the season most of his HS career. He is decently athletic for being 300+ lbs. Jason has a good motor and redirects well chasing down ball carriers. He has a lot of ability at DL but also has good OL skills. Jason & the rest of the Quip OL pull well & run their feet on contact.
