Aliquippa’s talent in the trenches is just as extensive as their offensive & defensive backfields. Stopping the Quip’s Neco Eberhardt Neco Eberhardt 6'3" | 285 lbs | DL Aliquippa | 2023 State PA , Jason Mcbride & Naquan Crowder Naquan Crowder 6'4" | 330 lbs | OL Aliquippa | 2023 State PA will surely be a tough task for the Spartans. Montour hasn’t experienced as much success as the Quips beginning the season with a 1-2 record. Head coach Aaron McCutchen will look to rekindle the winning formula experienced week 2 versus Moon Area High School.
Donovan is a leader on one of the best secondaries in PA. Walker has a slew of FBS offers to back up his big play ability. He has already been offered by Air Force, Akron, Albany, Austin pay, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, eastern Michigan, Fordham, Monmouth, Navy & Ohio. Donovan is a ball hawk that produces turnovers from his elite ball skills. Besides him being a stud athlete, he has a high football IQ. He displays sound play recognition, a textbook break on the ball, and controlled speed. He has very good hips and plays off the hash well in cover 2. Donovan’s big play ability can result in pick 6 at any time in coverage. Walker & the rest of the Quip secondary display next level DB fundamentals, form tackling, & good eye discipline.
Jason has an offer currently from Fairmont state & has been receiving a lot of Interest from the MAC. Jason plays well with his hands and is very productive as a defense lineman. He has good strength and makes plays in the backfield. Jason sometimes has the tendency to get too high out of his stance firing out, but he never gives up on the play. McBride also has invaluable experience on the field from playing late into the season most of his HS career. He is decently athletic for being 300+ lbs. Jason has a good motor and redirects well chasing down ball carriers. He has a lot of ability at DL but also has good OL skills. Jason & the rest of the Quip OL pull well & run their feet on contact.
Naquan Presently has offers from Fairmont State and Walsh University. He is a pulverizing blocker when pulling. He has strength & is able to move the defenders out of the box. Crowder fires out well with good OL hand placement. He will need to work on his agility on the next level, but his strength is already there. I would like to see the Naquan in more passing situation’s to analyze his kick slide.
Tiqwai Has power five written all over him in everything he does on the football field. As a freshman Tiqwai helped Lead the quips to the state championship finishing the 22′ campaign with 1700+ yds & 23 touchdowns. Hayes Is already 185 pounds & he runs with good power, change of direction and top end speed. T Hayes has the ability to navigate through traffic on inside runs & the speed to hit the corner on outside rushes. He has good wiggle but can lower the shoulder & make defenders pay. Hayes is a highly sought after prospect with P5 offers from the likes of Michigan, Penn State, Syracuse, & West Virginia.
Lindsey’s D1 ability is very apparent on Film. Cam presently holds offers from Cincinnati, Connecticut, Kent State, Massachusetts, Penn State, Syracuse, & West Virginia. At 6’2 195 ye has the frame that can add more weight & still be explosive. Cameron has a high football IQ reading run to pass & he regularly returns ints for TD’s LB dropping. He has elite lateral control with physicality & doesn’t allow lead blockers to take him out of a the play. Cam blitzes well and isn’t slowed down by any RB pass protecting. Lindsey hits hard now & will only get stronger with more physical development.
John Tracy
John Tracy
Tracy is another D1 prospect that splits carries with power 5 prospect Tiqwai Hayes Tiqwai Hayes 6’1″ | 200 lbs | RB Aliquippa | 2025 State PA . He runs with patience and can hit a home run at any time. If Tracy was on another high school team he would undoubtedly be the leader. As a sophomore he rushed for 119/725 yds & 13 TD’s. Like Hayes, John also has balance, wiggle & accelerating top end speed. Tracy is elusive but he most dangerous running inside downhill.
Goode is only a junior but already has substantial game experience. He is competitor & an efficient passer. He has good arm strength, but sometimes he puts to much air on deep balls. He is an athlete that can buy time scrambling & keeps his eyes downfield. He is good at pulling & throwing quick on RPOs & play action. Goode has good accuracy throwing to WRs on the run. Q is also talented at completing passes with great anticipation. His athletic ability allows him to be dangerous on rollout plays. Quentin is also talented at completing deep crossing routes in the intermediate passing area.
Banks is another D1 recruit the Quips have at their disposal in the secondary. The 6 foot CB has offers from Central Michigan, Kent State Eastern Michigan, Ohio & Akron. He has a great controlled pedal with a low pad level. He doesn’t take waisted movements & breaks on the football with speed. Banks has great ball skills & has the size to compete with bigger wide receivers on the next level. Brandon’s speed makes him very formidable as a return specialist. He has the ability to take a interception back for a score anywhere on the field. Banks is also a good open field tackler with good hips in pass coverage.
Nathan is another ball hawking FBS caliber DB that suits up for Aliquippa. He is a great athlete with hips that allow him to cover a lot of ground on the backend. Nathan is good playing man in the slot & also has the ability to pick 6 any pass thrown his way. Lindsey has a good vertical leap & plays the ball at the highest point. Nathan is a good blitzer that plays a lot stronger & bigger than 170 lbs. On offensive he is yet another weapon with homerun capabilities. Lindsey currently has a offer from the University of Toledo.
Neco is another FBS prospect on that defending state champion’s roster. He is explosive out of his stance with great pad level. He has a lot of strength and maneuverability redirecting in pursuit. His motor & athletic ability make it extremely hard for teams trying to establish the run. Eberhardt is a relentless pass rusher that regularly makes big plays in the backfield. Neco is one of 3 OL/DL prospects that Quips have currently. Nico has been receiving FBS & FCS interest so far receiving offers from Georgia State, Albany, Rhode Island, & Monmouth.
Caden is a super freshman for the Spartans so far this season. He already had a game in 22′ where he rushed for 210 yds & a score. On defense he is pup but displays good open field tackling and play recognition. On offense he runs with balance and power setting up his blockers. I look forward to seeing what Caden can produce by seasons end.
Brock Janeda
Brock Janeda
Janeda is most definitely an athlete, but I like him as a college SS. He is a great zone dropper from the nickel and comes up with bad intentions on tackles. He will also be good contributor on special teams collegiate. He has a great break on the football & plays hard until the whistle. Brock is a hard runner on offense & is consistent tackler in defense. He runs with great balance which makes him really hard to bring down. You can tell Brock is the go to playmaker for Montour. Brock has been catching the attention of a couple FBS & various FCS schools.
Keino is good athlete with good speed for the Spartans. At CB he displays the ability to break on the ball off of a “T” step well. He has the speed to stay on top of WR’s on deep balls & ride them out of bounds in coverage. Fitzpatrick is not afraid to tackle & plays bigger than 165 lbs. He has good ball skills & consistently contests deep balls against bigger competition. Keino has big playmaker potential on both sides, but he needs to meet that expectation more frequently. he has recently been receiving FBS interest.
Highlights
Jake is deceptively athletic QB that is a multi-sport athlete. The 6’1 signal caller has been getting a lot of interest from FBS basketball programs. Wolfe is good at throwing on the run & is a dangerous enough scrambler to keep defenses honest. Jake displays great decision making & improvisational skills outside the pocket. He needs to work on completing deep balls with more zip to consistently score from deep.
John is skilled at guarding his area in zone coverage. He reads his defensive keys well & often zone drops right into an INT. John is a talented blitzer & does not slow down getting past blockers. He is a skilled open field tackler that plays much stronger than 180 lbs. Midilli consistently sets the edge & doesn’t allow runs to get outside of him.
Kaleb Platz
Kaleb Platz
Kaleb has the size and ability to play on the next level. He has good explosion coming up for tackles. He is a good zone dropper returning one for a pick 6. He is overall active on defense with 2.5 whole seasons left in his HS career. He also showed his ability to cause problems on blitzes in the backfield.
