Connor Clark Connor Clark 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 NC , QB, Cardinal Gibbons HS displayed poise and leadership in the pocket while directing the offense. Connor completed a series of short passes which developed into runs for big yardage throughout the game. Connor Clark Connor Clark 6'5" | 225 lbs | QB Cardinal Gibbons | 2023 NC displayed good footwork and deception while handing the ball off to the running backs throughout the game.
Brock Biestek, WR caught several short passes which developed into big yardage. Brock is a solid runner with good speed and displays the ability to make the initial tackler miss and gain additional yardage. Brock Biestek lined up as quarterback on a few offensive series and ran the ball, gaining big yardage. Brock’s performance throughout the game was outstanding.
Donovan Shepard, RB displayed quickness and change of direction to elude defenders throughout the game. Donovan displayed quick acceleration on the inside runs for tough yardage. Donovan Shepard is a solid running back who displayed the ability to separate from the defender on the open field runs for big yardage.
Blake Raphael, RB/FS displayed good balance and power on strong inside running throughout the game. Blake scored the first TD and 2pt. conversion of the game. Blake played at a high-energy level and was difficult to bring down on most of his runs.
Kahmaad Scriven, QB, New Bern HS displayed quickness and speed when he decided to run to avoid being sacked throughout the game. Kahmaad did a good job of handing the ball off to the running backs when he did not run. Kahmaad Scriven only threw a few passes throughout the game, most were for completions.
Anthony Kesler, OT, Noah Grummert, OG, and Dylan Wagner, OT are big, mobile offensive lineman with good footwork and technique. The trio controlled the line of scrimmage on several series to open lanes for the running backs to gain yardage.
Zykeem Brooks, RB is a power runner who displayed good balance on strong inside running throughout the game. Zykeem Brooks displayed strength and does not go down after initial contact is made with the defender.
I would like to give a shout-out to Maddy Jackson, K who completed an extra point. Maddy got up and walked off the field after an injury.
