Elijah Brown, QB, Mater Dei
The freshman had big shoes to fill playing for one of the top teams in the country and taking over for 5 star recruit Bryce Young but performed extremely well in the short spring season leading Mater Dei to an undefeated record. He’s a fluid passer with a quick and compact release. He has the arm strength and accuracy to hit his spots at all three depths and outside to the boundary. Possesses a good frame to build on at 6’2” 180 lbs. and displays some developing athleticism and ability to make plays with his legs. Great intangible qualities for a freshman playing at a high-profile program showing good composure, demeanor, and toughness under pressure. Holds offers from Pitt, Arizona, and Utah but has great upside and will be one of the top 2024 QB’s in the nation.
Aaron Butler Aaron Butler 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Calabasas | 2024 State CA , ATH, Calabasas
Butler is an exceptional athlete with great versatility and explosiveness. As a freshman, he was an impact player lining up all over the field for Calabasas including RB, WR, and DB. Checks all the boxes in terms of athleticism with his speed, quickness, burst, and change-of-direction. He’s dangerous every time he touches the ball and finds a sliver of space. As a DB, he shows great natural instincts and ball skills. His transition and burst out of his break allows him to close space quickly and make big time plays in coverage. Recruiting is just getting started after picking up three Power 5 offers in April from USC, Penn State, and Pitt.
DeAndre Carter DeAndre Carter 6'5" | 350 lbs | OL Mater Dei | 2024 State CA , OL, Mater Dei
Massive frame and size at 6’5” 350 lbs. He carries it well as a freshman but will probably shed some weight as he develops and matures. Good foundational skill set and tools to build on with his combination of length and natural mobility/bend. Good feet and short area burst while showing he can get off the ball with some quickness. Obviously the strength and power he possesses is rare as a freshman due to his size but he understands how to use it to execute different types of blocks. He’s going to be another national recruit for Mater Dei and USC, Oregon State, and Cal have been the first to offer him.
Gage Burnett Gage Burnett 6'1" | 230 lbs | LB Santa Margarita Catholic | 2024 State CA , LB, Servite
Burnett is a versatile defender that is capable of being a three down LB at the college level given his ability as a run stopper and in coverage. He’s a plus athlete with good acceleration and lateral agility. He’s got quick feet to work around and avoid contact from blockers but also shows the strength and hands to shed/disengage. Shows good discipline with his eyes and possesses a quick trigger to react. Plays with good leverage and a high motor to make plays sideline to sideline. He performed well against top competition as a freshman and recently picked up his first offer from Arizona.
Cincere Rhaney Cincere Rhaney 5'11" | 210 lbs | RB Serra | 2024 State CA , ATH, St. Bernard
Strong and compact frame at 5’11” 200 lbs. he has the ability to play either side of the ball in college at RB or LB. He’s a violent downhill football player that shows great strength and power at the contact point. Impressive athlete with good speed and lateral quickness on both sides of the ball. Shows good all around natural instincts and anticipation. Great skillset and upside at the college level. Holds an offer from Arizona State but will be a double digit offer prospect when all is said and done.
Julian Sayin Julian Sayin 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Carlsbad | 2024 State CA , QB, Carlsbad
Sayin is fun to watch and a natural QB/passer. His feel for the position and game is not often seen especially at his age. The ball jumps out of his hand with a quick and compact over the top delivery. He’s smooth with his footwork and mechanics in his drop back and pocket movement maintaining a strong and well-balanced throwing platform. He’s got a developing frame at 6’1” 180 lbs. and is a functional and capable athlete. He’s been on the college radar since eighth grade when he picked up his first offer from FAU. Since then he’s added nine more including top programs such as Penn State, Florida State, Texas A&M, and Utah. Sky is the limit with his talent as a passer.
