The Maxwell Football Club announced 93 New Jersey scholastic football players as 2020 Mini Max High School Award winners.
Maxwell Football Club president Mark Dianno announced the selections last Thursday. Players were nominated by their coaches throughout the season and were evaluated based on football performance, academic performance and community service. Dianno referenced these student-athletes meeting the challenges of the pandemic in addition to the opponents on the field.
There will be more honors given by the Maxwell Football Club, as it will select one player from the Mini Max winners as the winner of the New Jersey Football Player of the Year, which will be announced on Jan. 25. The winners of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware Player of the Year awards will then be candidates for the Maxwell Club’s Jim Henry Award, given to the outstanding player of the region, to be announced on Feb. 1.
