One of ways we do this is in our sleeper series. As we begin to look at the prospects in the 2022 class that don’t have the most hype yet, we start with the quarterbacks.
These players may not end up at Power Five schools (though some certainly could) but we recognize that they have legitimate talent.
Cade Law Cade Law 6'1" | 210 lbs | QB CPA | 2022 State TN , 6’1 215, Christ Presbyterian
Law has actually generated some recent momentum on the recruiting trail, receiving offers from Gardner Webb and Austin Peay earlier this month. Law has a strong arm and stands in the pocket well against pressure. He can make throws outside of the numbers with relative ease. He doesn’t often look to run, but when he does, he has the athleticism to create big plays on the ground.
Bryson Rollins Bryson Rollins 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Elizabethton | 2022 State TN , 6’2 195, Elizabethton
Rollins put up some of the best numbers of any junior quarterback in Tennessee a year ago, completing 68 percent of his passes and finishing the year with a 31-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio. Don’t mistake those efficiency numbers for “a bunch of screens and check downs”; Rollins loves to go deep to some of his speedy receiver targets. Rollins has a bright future ahead and we’re excited to see what he does going forward.
Joseph Cummings, 6’2 195, Independence
Cummings has a big arm and is a talented thrower of the football. He’s a bit less experienced as a starter, but has plenty of time to improve. He already has the arm strength and height to be a top quarterback. Add to that his exceptional pocket presence and he’s a guy we expect to break out on the camp circuit this offseason.
Collin Shannon Collin Shannon 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Sevier Co. | 2022 State TN , 6’1 190, Sevier County
Shannon is a prototypical pro-style quarterback, but he shows good decision making when it comes to tucking the ball and running. Shannon’s movement in the pocket is excellent and when he’s on the run he does a good job re-setting his feet when on the move. He flashes great deep ball potential and as he continues to become more consistent with ball placement it will turn into the strength of his game.
