Get 25% off your subscription by entering Knight25 in the coupon code area. Enjoy! We've updated our 2022 prospect rankings with the Top 100 juniors in Oklahoma. You can check out the complete rankings RIGHT HERE. Right now, we're taking a look and putting a spotlight on five defensive linemen who have impressed us. We currently have 11 Defensive Lineman in our top 100 and 5 within our top 30. Stay dialed into Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2022 content to be dropping over the course of the next week! [player_tooltip player_id="67777" first="Matthias" last="Roberson"] - Union (#90 Overall) Our first DL on this list is yet another young and promising player from the Union defense in [player_tooltip player_id="67777" first="Matthias" last="Roberson"]. Roberson played all over the defensive line for Union in 2020 and was very productive from all over, finishing with 15 sacks, 30 TFLs, and a handful of turnovers. Between Roberson and [player_tooltip player_id="57208" first="De'Marion" last="Thomas"], Union will have one of the top returning defensive lines in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="38697" first="AJ" last="Brown"] - Jenks (#48 Overall) Next up is one of the best Nose Guards in the state in [player_tooltip player_id="38697" first="AJ" last="Brown"]. Brown is not the tallest lineman at 6'0", but he is not a small player by any means and was one of the top run stoppers in 6A-I this season. He has great power and showed the ability to 2-gap at a high level throughout 2020. Brown has recently received his first offer from Dartmouth and we expect him to get a few more before the 2021 season begins. [player_tooltip player_id="38563" first="Michael" last="Jamerson"] - Owasso (#27 Overall) The first of 2 Owasso defensive lineman on this list is [player_tooltip player_id="38563" first="Michael" last="Jamerson"]. Jamerson plays primarily inside for the Rams where he has been one of the best in the state at anchoring and powering through offensive lineman in the run game. Rarely is he ever pushed back on run plays and most of the time he is in the backfield disrupting the offense. He is just one of many stars that Owasso brings back next year where they will be one of the favorites to win it all. [player_tooltip player_id="38691" first="Maliek" last="Bogard"] - Beggs (#19 Overall) Maliek is one of many DL in this 2022 class with division 1 written all over their future. Bogard plays primarily outside and has been excellent at sealing the edge and forcing plays inside with his strength in the run game, and he uses his speed very well in the passing game as an edge rusher. He already possesses a handful of division 1 scholarship offers so it is only a matter of time before he starts to zero in on what schools he may want to take his talents to after 2021. [player_tooltip player_id="38674" first="Chris" last="McClellan"] - Owasso (#11 Overall) Our final DL on this list has been one of the best in the state for the last few seasons, [player_tooltip player_id="38674" first="Chris" last="McClellan"]. He is an excellent athlete for his size and has been utilized as such by Edison where he has played all over the defensive line. In fact, just recently Chris has started playing for one of the top 7on7 teams in the state as a tight end and has found some success, again showing off his athleticism. With another successful season in 2021, McClellan could solidify himself as a top 10 prospect, and after hearing the news that he plans to transfer to Owasso for next season, we're starting to think that is a likely scenario. With 3 players ranked in the top 10 at their position in [player_tooltip player_id="47158" first="Tyler" last="Rich"], [player_tooltip player_id="38563" first="Michael" last="Jamerson"], and [player_tooltip player_id="38674" first="Chris" last="McClellan"], it will be hard to find a defensive line better than Owasso's in 2021.
