After settling for Runner Up in the last two state title games, Jenks finally captured state championship number 17 on Saturday afternoon in Edmond. They knocked off Edmond Santa Fe in a championship rout, winning 41-14. Santa Fe would return the game’s opening kick for a touchdown but it was all Jenks from there. They would score 24 unanswered points and led 27-14 at halftime. They would add to that lead in the third quarter with a pair of touchdowns while the defense would pitch a second half shut out.
