Faussette was nearly perfect in the air, finishing 14 of 17 for 220 yards and three touchdowns. He was a big-play threat all game. He found three different weapons in the passing game on scores, connecting with Daniel Viola for a 70-yard TD, then hitting Rocco Minichiello for 31 yards before throwing a 14-yard strike to Jake Diaz Jake Diaz 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR Hasbrouck Heights | 2022 NJ .
While Faussette was extremely effective in the passing game, he was just as good on the run. He totaled 110 yards on 11 carries, averaging 10 yards per carry. The Hasbrouck Heights senior concluded his career in a major way. He finished the campaign with 1,054 passing yards and 15 TDs, 383 rushing yards and another score and a 62 percent completion percentage.
In addition to Faussette’s play on Tuesday, Minichiello was extremely effective. To go with his TD reception, he totaled 165 yards on the ground on 16 carries, scoring on runs of 30 and 45 yards. Diaz made six catches for 65 yards and the score.
Michael Canavatchel had a sack to go with 4.5 tackles for Hasbrouck Heights, which concluded the season at 4-2. The Aviators finished the season on a two-game winning streak and beat Cresskill for the second time this season.
Cresskill ended the year at 3-4. Jeremy Connelly scored three TDs on the ground for the team Tuesday night, all in the first half.
