The team combined for 694 yards in a meeting that didn’t lack offense and points. Let’s take a look at who shined in the game.
Joe Barsky, Colts Neck: Barsky, a senior, had a heavy workload but that didn’t deter his productivity. He finished with 185 rushing yards on 39 carries with three touchdowns, scoring on runs of 2, 3 and 5 yards. His TD run followed by a two-point conversion run with 5:05 remaining gave Colts Neck the 36-35 lead.
Sha’Kim Shuler, Freehold Borough: Shuler, Freehold Borough’s senior quarterback, threw for two touchdowns and ran for 160 yards on six carries and two rushing scores, on runs of 63 and 90 yards.
Kamore Gill, Freehold Borough: Gill ran for 65 yards on seven carries and scored on a 53-yard run for Freehold Borough. He also caught a 64-yard TD pass from Shuler.
Yah-Sin Calhoun, Freehold Borough: Calhoun had an interception and made three receptions for 73 yards and had a long TD reception early for Freehold Borough.
Matt Scully, Colts Neck: Scully had two interceptions and made six catches for 75 yards for Colts Neck.
Tom Fallon, Colts Neck: Fallon threw for a pair of touchdowns and also ran for 74 yards on 14 carries.
John Runfolo, Colts Neck: Runfolo caught a pair of touchdowns from Fallon. He hauled in a 33-yard TD and then caught a 20-yard throw for a score later on in the game.
