In the second to last tune-up for postseason play, multiple Eight-Man players posted solid performances during games on October 16.
Here is a scouting report on the gems of eight football who are hoping to peak at the right time of the year.
<strong>Devan McEwan, Lebo </strong> – McEwan helped guide Lebo to a 70-40 win over Thunder Ridge. He threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns in the win. The senior quarterback is a two-sport star at Lebo, but right now he is shining on the gridiron.
<strong>Tyler Good, Lincoln</strong> – Good, a senior running back, rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns in Lincoln’s 26-12 victory over Bennington. Good has now rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 2020 and has scored 18 rushing touchdowns.
<strong>Brayden Collins, Canton Galva</strong>– Collins rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns in Eagles 70-0 victory over Solomon. Not to be outdone <strong>Garret Maltbie</strong> scored three times and rushed for 141 yards against the Gorillas. Canton Galva remains undefeated in 2020 and will finish its regular season against Lincoln.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="35503" first="Kayde" last="Rietzke"], Wichita County </strong>– Rietzke, a senior quarterback, rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns in the Indians 62-12 win over Spearville. He also threw for two scored and now has a combined 33 touchdowns in the air and on the ground.
<strong>Braxton Lafferty, Little River </strong>– The Redskins knocked off Herington 54-6 in Week Seven. Little River was led on the ground by Lafferty, who scored twice and rushed for 109 yards. Lafferty is just a sophomore and is a player to keep track of in the Class of 2023.
