Recruiting Update on Six Class of ‘27 Prospects

My last report of April circles back to the Class of ‘27. This week the focus has been centered around previews for the next rankings update for the upcoming junior class. But as we get closer to summer, recruitment is heating up for the Class of ‘27, and I wanted to provide an update on some prospects.    This group of six features one recently committed prospect, and the rest have been drawing serious interest. Take a look at the latest news from these talented players.    [player_tooltip player_id='1613502' first='Roman' last='Byers'] - Piper, 6'0”, 200, RB   In the next update for the Class of ‘27 folks can expect to see this player as the new top ranked RB. At the beginning of April Byers announced his commitment to the South Dakota Coyotes. The offer South Dakota extended to him was well deserved, and their staff is very fortunate to have landed such a talented back. Their staff recently developed a former Sunflower State prep star, and it looks like Byers is next in line.   [player_tooltip player_id='1352560' first='Braesyn' last='Williams'] - Derby, 6'2”, 175, DB   Similar to Byers, Williams of Derby is also on track to become the top ranked player at his position in the next update. I mentioned in March how Williams' stock was on the rise. Well, here's some evidence to back that up. He's received D-I offers from Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Lindenwood, Old Dominion, Samford, Tulane, and Tulsa. More recruiters are likely to offer him throughout this year.   [player_tooltip player_id='1560943' first='Maddon' last='Brittingham'] - Lawrence Free State, 6'2”, 195, ATH   It was only a matter of time before recruiters started offering this dynamic athlete. Brittingham of Free State has begun receiving D-I interest after his impressive junior campaign. Just recently he's received offers from service academies like the United States Air Force Academy and Army. He also holds a D-II offer from Washburn University.    [player_tooltip player_id='2063119' first='Marcus' last='Boganowski'] - Junction City, 6'1”, 210, LB   I have a strong feeling this next prospect's stock is on the verge of blowing up this summer. So far this year Boganowski has followed up a great 2025 season with a standout performance at a highly competitive prospect camp. In March, Boganowski attended the Under-Armour All-American Camp Series and made a good impression. While in attendance he recorded a 4.64 40 time, and compiled an 85% overall score. It's only a matter of time till the offers start rolling in for him.   [player_tooltip player_id='1310337' first='Christian' last='Henderson'] - Newton, 6'4”, 230, Edge   Henderson of Newton is finally gaining the recognition he deserves. This 6-foot-4 edge rusher has had multiple offers come his way during April. He's received NAIA offers from Friends University and McPherson College, as well as one D-II offer from Washburn. Henderson has also been invited to a few campus visits.    [player_tooltip player_id='1228156' first='Jayson' last='Rush'] - Olathe North, 6'0”, 165, WR   One of the fastest wideouts in the state caps off this group of upcoming seniors. Rush of Olathe North showcased his explosiveness during the ‘25 season, but he's taken his speed to another level this spring. During this track season he hit a personal best in the 100-meter dash, as he clocked a blazing 10.54. In addition, Rush has also recorded a 3.92 in the 5-10-5 shuttle. Rush currently holds offers from Drake University, Missouri Southern, and Southwest Baptist University.
