Analysis: Last season, Mona Shores was able to put together a magical run to the Division 2 state championship game where they bested Detroit King for the title. They return key members of last years roster, which includes two-way playmaker [player_tooltip player_id="29824" first="Brady" last="Rose"]. Rose will compete with junior Mark Konecny for the starting quarterback job, but he will make an impact no matter where he lines up. Senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="29679" first="Keondre" last="Pierce"] is another playmaker to keep an eye on and senior offensive lineman Mason Klos and Bryce Sikkenga are the standouts up front. On defense, Rose and Pierce combine with senior [player_tooltip player_id="30006" first="Khyree" last="Hamel"] to form one of the better secondary units in the state. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id="30079" first="Karsen" last="Marihugh"] is the key player in the front seven, but pay attention to seniors Andre Burks and Tre Word who could have breakout seasons. Making another run at the state title won’t be easy, but the Sailors return the talent to make it happen.
